We've stopped here a couple times when in town. I did not realize I never posted a review, so here goes! Off the beaten path, this locally owned diner is a great way to start your day. The food is top notch, filling and delicious. The staff are always friendly, hustling, and accommodating. The restaurant is one level, no stairs, vinyl flooring, with 2 unisex bathrooms near the main door. Stop at the hostess/cashier counter to get a table. The wait is never long in my experience.Laura brought us coffee & tea, and an extra container of hot water for a second cup of tea. She kept my coffee cup full too. Hubby had steak and eggs, real potato home fries & a stack of wheat toast (turbo-charged). He loved it! I had the turbo jacked meal - scrambled eggs, bacon & blueberry pancakes. The menu does not say it but you can add blueberries, strawberries, bananas or chocolate chips to your pancakes. I highly recommend the blueberry pancakes - the blueberries were fresh, the pancakes were fluffy with crispy edges, and served with real butter. The little side of syrup was the perfect amount. It was like dessert for breakfast. The bacon was so good too! We love this place and will be back when we are back in town.

This ranks as my fave breakfast restaurant closest to wear I live. First off, the prices are great, the portions are more than enough and the food is tasty. You can even earn points per order/visit and I got a birthday meal for the "skee" (my teen daughter uses this term, it means free )! I usually get the veggie omelette (with hot peppers, no meat), one slice of either pepper Jack or provolone, home fries and a grilled bagel. Call ahead or order online so it's ready when you arrive. The staff is friendly and accommodating. You'll enjoy your meal.

Nothing like a diner done right and this place is the epitome of what diner food should be. I took my two elderly parents with me knowing they would appreciate home cooked like meals. From the moment we arrived, they were embraced. Trying to manage one in a walker and one with balance challenges can be a bit much but an exiting customer came to the rescue and escorted Mom to her table where the service staff took over. You immediately could tell the character of the place. Mom ordered the special "The Gobbler" which was an extraordinary Turkey sandwich. No deli meat here. Instead the owner freshly roasted a few birds and served up sandwiches with a huge slab of moist turkey breast dressed with lettuce, tomato and bacon. Mom worked her way through half of the beast. Dad enjoyed a chicken parmigiana sandwich and it too featured a slab of a different bird. My pulled pork sandwich was sensational with copious amounts of tender slow cooked pork topped with a light sauce on a bed of coleslaw. Great stuff. Mom wants to come back for breakfast (this is an amazing endorsement as she is very picky).

This is a small local business that is only open for breakfast and lunch. So far we've only had breakfast here but it's been delicious each time. It's always busy in here but we've never had to wait for a table and the service is top notch. The food is fresh and there are a lot of smiling, happy people here. We love coming here! Prices are great and they do have a reward program offered on their website.

We stopped in our way home from an overnight trip to Cleveland for a concert. The service was great, fast and friendly. The food was really good. We had an omelette with home fries (homemade, and they will make them extra crispy if you prefer) and a half order of sausage gravy and cheddar biscuits, and shared. It's hard to find a good sausage gravy, but Hot Grillz did not disappoint!

I've started to go here once a week for lunch. Their food is so good (onion rings) they run out. Usually get waited on by Carrie, i think her name is that. She is fast on getting you refills and gets your food out real quick. The place itself is very clean and people friendly. and at a very decent price. Good people there. Excellent NonChain place for lunch. give it a try.

We are semi regular. Went Sunday at 10am. There was one table, seats up to eight, open. The waitresses wouldn't let our party of four have it even though there were no other people in line. It was weird and infuriating. They lost business just in case a bigger party came, or were they saving the table when we've been told they don't reserve tables?
