Hot Dog Heaven

I'm really surprised that this place doesn't have better overall reviews. The hotdogs are excellent and they have a lot of different varieties to choose from. They also have family packs that make it easy to order for large groups. Note: the family pack portion of fries is gigantic! There is plenty of seating, it's easy to park, and there is never a very long wait. When you are finished with your meal, walk across the street and grab some ice cream for dessert. Anytime we are in the area, we stop by. Highly recommended for people looking for unique hot dogs and/or a quick family meal.

Kind of torn between 3 and 4 stars, but going to sit with 3 on this one.Place is beyond clean! I didn't know what to expect, but it is cleaner than most places out there. I wondered how many seats would be inside after I watched a long line around the building in the drive thru, but there was enough for a decent group of people.Pricing doesn't seem out of control by any means. Four of us at for 40 bucks.Hot dog wise: I was a bit underwhelmed. There were smaller than expected for a hot dog place and while the mac and cheese dog was good, it wasn't anything over the top at all. Now, if you are a fry eater, this is the place to go. I ordered a regular order of hot fries and they filled an entire plate. I was hoping for better flavor since it seemed like a "specialty" of theirs, but honestly it tasted like any normal type table hot sauce. Even so, if you like fries, you will get a lot of them!Glad we went and if needing something quick, we would go again!

Ok so I'll preface this by saying I grew up with this place. Been going there for as long as I can remember. So yeah, the nostalgia is real. I was excited to try the new place. I love how they kept it similar to the original layout and decor. I love the fries. Nothing beats fresh cut. Now, unlike others my go to is the cheeseburger, but, with cheese sauce instead of the standard. I've been getting that for as long as I can remember too. Super happy that HDH is still around, that they kept the touches of the original and that the food is still as I remembered.

Great fries!I will start by saying I am not a hot dog eater but since they have reopened I have been wanting to give it a try. They have a menu with a lot of choices other than hot dogs. Chicken, wraps, salad, fish sandwiches, burgers, and lots of ice cream and slushee choices. Prices seem reasonable and food was made quickly. The new restaurant is very clean and had a similar layout to the past restaurant. You order upon entering and then seat yourself. They call your name when the food is ready. We had an issue with an item in our order but they were quick to fix it.

Been wanting to try this place long before the fire. New place looks great. Looks like they took time to bring back a traditional spot. Tried a few things. The hot dog is spot on Corn dogs and rings were crispy, fresh and hot. On the down side; a long wait with few in line, $3.29 for a large (not large) soda seems a bit much. The chili dog sauce is heavy on the tomato and if you are a fan of liquid cheese you will be happy. Would definitely come back to try more.

While the hotdogs are still pretty good. I'm not sure what they have done to there fries. Use to love there fry's, but had them this past Sunday 9/15 & oh my gosh they were nasty. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO THEM???? OIL COOKING TIME OR THE FRY ITSELF R TOTALLY DISGUSTING. Ask the young lady at the register and she's like I don't no. Guess one of the fav places have dropped to not fab any more. So disappointed

Food was great. We got a side of coleslaw to add on top of our dogs. Everything was made fresh fries were hot and tasty the cheese dip was hot and delicious with the fries and added to hotdog. Service was fast and we were greeted by a nice young lady. We sat in dinning room which was cool from ac and clean. Sat in atrium which was pleasant time to sit eat and talk. Better than I remember it from the past.

I was so excited to run into this place, I remember it from back in the 90s but it wasn't what I recalled anymore. The decor is really nice and it's been updated, restroom was clean!I had a basic hot dog with mustard, onion and pickles plus fried mushrooms. The hot dog wasn't anything that I couldn't have gotten at Giant Eagle. Actually, Costco has a much better hot dog and it's a fraction of the price yet double the size. My fried mushrooms were still semi frozen inside- gross. My excitement was short lived.....

I've always loved hot dog heaven. Unfortunately the new place is significantly worse. The service is rude and the product is slow and very consistently incorrect.
