Hopocan Gardens

I understand that this place has a following.For a newbie...I thought it was quite dingy and out of date. The chicken was good, the coleslaw was not too good and hard to chew.The fries are heavy and greasy.The staff were very nice, great servers and food came out quickly despite it being very busy.

In my search to figure out if the Barberton Serbian style fried chicken is any good, I went to this place after my visit to Belgrade Gardens.If you like bland, breaded fried chicken, you'll love this stuff, me, not so much.I did think the chicken here was better than Belgrade Gardens.Also, the lunch portion was insanely cheap for getting three side dishes with it, the hot sauce (tomatoes and rice), fries, and sweet coleslaw were all good.This place is fine as long as you don't have crazy expectations.

The chicken Papa cash was horrible and made us sick, and when we called, the manager said maybe we have a stomach bug I wouldn't even give it one star but it won't let me post it unless I did

Huge servings great fries and chicken. It's been around forever give it a try. Great service.

We have been going to Hopocan Gardens for years. Something has changed. The breading is really thick and they are using a different cooking oil. It just doesn't taste like Barberton chicken anymore. Sorry, I'll be going to Village Inn next time.

Grew up on White House but was visiting from Texas. The food wasn't bad but it wasn't the best either too much sugar in the slaw. And the service was slow. I wished White House was open for indoor seating I would've went there

Excellent place. I came while on a road trip, and decided to make a detour in search of the famous Barberton chicken. While the location at night looked like the sort of place where you would get robbed and have your organs stolen, the staff was instantly friendly. They were very understanding of our questions, dietary needs, and so on. The food was excellent. Definitely very different than fried chicken anywhere else. Sumptuous portions, delicious mashed potatoes, applesauce, and light vinegar cole slaw. They also have a rich, traditional root beer and cherry soda. All for a super-reasonable price. Worth coming back!

Always good food and service, just a little pricy.but they have special prices on table ,be sure to check those out.try the shrimp it's the best

Keep an eye on the prices. the three piece tender dinner with 3 sides is 12.95, but if you order 3 individual tenders + 3 sides it's only 11.85. Family friendly atmosphere and fast service.

The food has gone downhill and the prices have gone up. All of a sudden something that was given to me during my very frequent visits, whether inside or out I am now being charged for without being warned ahead of time. They also now are charging 2+ dollar fee to use a credit card. This was another extra charge that is new. I feel like it is no longer about a quality product and good customer service it is about how much money can be made.
