Hong Kong Buffet

I think the food is good. I'm not sure what goes on behind closed doors in the kitchen, They do have a good variety of entrees on the Buffet. I would like them to change up the Buffet menu a bit, maybe add some different seafood. All in all, I would give them a 3.9-4 0 out of 5

I'm vegan and don't eat any food with oil and they actually had options for me!

HONG KONG BUFFET is A Pleasant Chinese buffet complete with hibachi Grill , Which has served the greater Mansfield area for a number of years . The restaurant is located in a strip mall in neighboring Ontario ohio . A large parking lot fronts the restaurant , so the walk to the entrance is a short one . The facility is clean and nicely decorated , ( the restrooms , while clean , would benefit from an updating ) The wait staff is friendly and prompt with beverage refills and also quick in removing the spent dish ware. There is a special buffet containing a nice selection of raw Chilled items ( eggs , vegetables , beef, chicken , pork , fish , etc ) that are to be used for diners who want to make use of the hibachi grill . The grille is usually tended to by the chef / owner , but family members may step in as replacement cooks in his absence . At any rate , plated items coming off the grill are delicious , owing to the variety of oils and sauces , that are selected by customer choice and then applied by the chef prior to grilling . By no means taking second place are the three hot buffets which feature a variety of the usual Chinese fare , and a chilled bar featuring shrimp , fruits and numerous cold salads and puddings . Neighboring Hot pots dispense 3 different soups , And An added delight is yet another bar which features cakes , cookies , sugared nuts , and other niceties guaranteed to satisfy ones sweet tooth . Finally an ice cream machine dispenses your choice of vanilla or chocolate soft serve with An accompanying tray containing chocolate or strawberry syrups along with chopped nuts for toppings . Drink prices are not included in the buffet price So they represent the only added cost . Pepsi products are served along with hot or iced tea , and lemonade . So as not to be disappointed , be aware that A few items that USED to appear on the DINNER menu ( served after 4 pm daily ) Have since disappeared , most likely because of increased supplier prices for those items . Crab legs , frog legs and bbq ribs have one by one been deleted , most likely in an effort to avoid increasing dinner prices at the customer level . I thank the decision maker for their concern , and salute their decision in not raising the cost of their dinners .There is however one item that has never appeared on the buffet that is on my personal wish list ....... namely EGG FOO YUNG . I'm not sure about the reason for its absence , but I hope that at some future date it will magically appear in one of the.hot pots . In ending , Why yes .... of course I recommend this place ! Lunch and dinner prices are family friendly , and between the hot buffets , the chilled salad buffet , the hibachi grille , the soup table , and the ice cream and dessert buffets , there is more than enough to satisfy even the most discriminating diner ! Do Go ! You will be pleasantly surprised by the Different food Offerings . My rating : 4 stars , which I will increase to 5 as soon as egg foo yung magically appears on the buffet , lol !

I am fuming right now! I WILL NOT go back to this restaurant ever! It is a very large restaurant and the waitresses were literally YELLING across the restaurant to each other, in their language. My Hubs said they wouldn't be yelling like that in English. I actually told our waitress to QUIT YELLING as she was doing it very near our table. Kudos to her. She sincerely apologized. But the others got worse! The food was not good. I then tried the hibatchi and my beef was like leather.

The food is fresh. The prices are very reasonable for dinner time. The buffet is huge! Including a sushi buffet. And also has a Mongolian Grill that is included in the price. The service is very very friendly! I would totally recommend this place!

They do a poor job of deveining the shrimp, especially any shrimp with batter. Even the lightly-breaded lemon pepper shrimp contained the mud vein (poop) on more than half of the shrimp. The Hibachi grill and the fried fish are very good.

I hope the owners or management read this review. This place is more of a miss than a hit. It has lots of potentials, however, they seem to drop the ball continually. The food is not always hot, they don't refill the empty food trays, and there is no good feeling or vibe in there. I also question the cleanliness as well. I'm not sure what going on, but it's not just about stuffing yourself.

One of the better Chinese buffet establishments that we visit from time to time. We will make the 45 minute drive to eat here over eating at our local Chinese buffet if that tells you anything.

There is only one semi good meat there. Everything else tastes pretty gross. The waitress also forgot my drink after I simply asked for a water and waited a long time.. The water tastes like really nasty tap water. I would not recommend their food because it doesn't have much flavor or it's too sweet (especially their desserts).

I love this place. The people there are soo nice. The food is fresh when you are getting your food the food is coming out highly recommend this place
