Holland BBQ

So, back in 2019, I moved into the Euclid area and couldn't find a great rib to save my life. Then I stumbled upon the smell all too familiar, the smell of charcoal and pork.Hollands BBQ, a staple on the upper Eastside that has mouth watering ribs, great customer service and wings for those who are about that chicken. Everytime I go to Holland BBQ, I get a full slab and fries, they load me up and I give portions that I can eat on for days. Plus, management is kind and brings you your food to the car. People are welcoming and take ownership when it isn't right. It may not be your expensive BBQ sit down restaurant, but be it everso humble, there's no place like Holland BBQ. Don't believes me? Decided to finally try this place as it's close to my house. I tried calling ahead so that I could pick it up on my way home. This was Friday night at about 5 pm. They answered and asked me to hold. I held on for about 3 minutes before hanging up and then called back. Again, answered and asked me to hold. I decided to stay on hold and just stop in since I was nearby and driving. I had been on hold for 6 minutes when I walked in and told the cashier that I was on hold. She mentioned that people kept coming in and she couldn't get to the phone. I get it. It was definitely busy with people placing and picking up orders and she was the only person on the register. However, you gotta come up with a better system. She was also calling people when their food was done. Doing all of that just doesn't seem sustainable and feels like an easy way to let orders and money slip through the cracks. I tried to make a suggestion but I think she was kind of overwhelmed/over it.Nevertheless, she was still nice and took my order. I wanted the fried catfish meal but asked if I could upgrade my sides from fires and slaw to mac and cheese and yams. They don't allow anyone to change out the fries with that meal, which is kind of annoying, but fine. I got sauce on my fries and an extra side of mac and cheese which was only $4. The total came up to $19. I paid and was quoted about 30 minutes. I got a call right at about 30 minutes and came back to pick up my food. The catfish was fried and seasoned well. The two pieces were a good size and crispy. The sauce on their fries was delicious, I almost ate them all before arriving home. The coleslaw was pretty runny, so I didn't eat much of that. The mac and cheese was cheesy and creamy. I loved it. The smoker was going the whole time with smokey, meaty air filling up the block. I'll definitely return for some ribs, chicken, or a polish boy, which I feel like would be good here. Happy I finally tried this place and know that it's a solid option for BBQ in my neighborhood. I'll be sure to just stop in and place my order, especially on a busy day.

Service needs much improvement, wings were ok, ribs not good, and if people have to wait 25 plus minutes, add some seating, not tables, just chairs.

Big Bob was in the 1978 cuyahoga softball all star game, he batted up 13 times and hit 13 home runs and unofficially ( cause they didn't measure back then) one homer went over 500 ftCory and Brian (Bobs bouys) always workin hard to make you happy Love ya Bob

EVERYTHING ABOUT THIS PLACE WAS STANK! from the moment i walked in to this sweltering establishment with the doors open, flies everywhere, to the rude and clearly overworked gentleman behind the counter who acted like i was an inconvenience for asking for a menu. Not to mention he said " howd you find us google? we got the menu on there so", so nothing my brother, so nothing.My kids wanted BBQ and i was already 90% of the way home so i decided despite his attitude i would order. I got some wings, some ribs, they were out of mozzarella sticks, , so i had to get just some fries. Its a shame because their sauce was out of this world, their ribs were fall off the bone sucking good! their wings were your typical fried wings, fries typical also. Catfish was a good portion for the money, came with cole slaw and fries as well.Their red velvet cake was dense and not moist at all, not sure if its box or home made but they need a different recipe either way.In all fairness i give them 1 star for not taking an hour with my food, only about 50 minutes AFTER i complained because THREE customers who ordered after me with much larger orders received their food before me, can we guess why? I can....its tons of bbq spots in euclid, this aint it.

The services sucks.. I don't like bad attitudes when I'm spending my hard earned money..

If you can deal attitude, wait time, stale cake its ok.The ribs are ok. I live right there but I hate poor service. I take my money to the suburbs.

I don't know what was added to the rib sauce, but I had the "runs" for almost 2-days. The girl behind the counter, providing me service, was using the word "skeezer" when not addressing me. Very suspicious. I hope that I was not the target of some kind of malicious mischief.

I ordered two half slab dinners, one with light sauce for myself and the other with regular sauce for my wife. The two half slabs couldn't look anymore different. Mine, the light sauce, has the little baby ribs in it. The other ones are huge. I'm extremely disappointed, they've never done me like this.

The food was decent, but the customer service really sucked!I ordered a Center rib dinner and the sign on the wall said $13 so I questioned when I was told to pay $15 plus $.50 because I had a credit card. I was then told by the young lady at the register that if I didn't like it, I didn't have to spend my money there.I would hate to be the owner of this establishment and have her work for me turning my customers away!!!
