Wow what a place!! So hard to decide what to get. One of my mates came here two nights in a row to satisfy his craving for German food. We ate Hofbrauhaus two nights in a row also, but it was leftovers for day 2.Great tasting food and drink for sure!Serving staff wear costumes to give you a feeling of old Germany.Parking seems to be scarce, we walked there from our hotel.

While the service was good, the food was mediocre at best. The dumplings were barely warm and the sausage that accompanied it was overcooked and tough. The restaurant is warm and inviting with its German decor and the staff dressed in German garb. The atmosphere is pleasant.Definitely way over-priced.

We recently dined at Hofbräuhaus in Cleveland and had a mixed experience. We started with a large warm pretzel served with beer cheese and mustard, which was absolutely delicious and probably the highlight of the night. Honestly, I could have made a meal out of just that pretzel! We also ordered the sampler platter, which was okay but nothing outstanding. In hindsight, I would have preferred to stick with the pretzel. Everyone in our group enjoyed their entrees, but I didn't take any photos. As someone who has had homemade pierogis in Poland(yes I know this is a German place), I can say these were good, but don't expect them to be on the same level as your grandma's.When we arrived, we were told that only reservations could be seated inside, and we would have to sit on the patio. While we were on the patio, we checked and saw that reservations for inside seating were available starting at 4:45, 5:00, 5:15, and so on. We were seated at 4:40, which made no sense, especially since half the dining room was empty.Negatives: * Service was slow, which was disappointing. * The reservation policy was confusing and frustrating. It didn't make sense that we couldn't sit inside when reservations were readily available for the same time. * When we arrived, we were given four menus and pointed to a door by staff with no further directions. We had no idea what to do, which added to the overall confusion.Overall, the food had its highlights, but the service and seating issues took away from what could have been a great dining experience.

Another 5 star visit! Best place ever as far as proximity to playhouse square! We had sauerkraut balls for an app & they were delicious! Then the paprikash flatbread and Jaegerschnitzel which is gigantic, enough for 3 people! The service was great also! Love coming here for German fare!

I've been to Hofbrauhaus several times - both for group outings with friends and big events like Oktoberfest - over the last few years and have always had a fun time! The beers always hit the spot and the food is so comforting. My favorites are the sausage specials, pretzels, and schnitzel, but everything is pretty good! The spacious hall with communal tables, authentic Bavarian attire worn by the staff and the live music add a fun energy to the restaurant! There's also a large outdoor space that's great in the warmer months.

Hofbrauhaus is a really neat place to meet up with friends and colleagues. It's setup of course like a German building so you can't miss it if you haven't been here before. Inside is all decorated with German motifs. The seating is communal but plenty of space between parties. The menu offers something for everyone. We started with the hot fresh huge pretzel and fondue like cheese. Cheese dip was creamy and went nicely. (1 is enough for the table if you're ordering dinner). We ordered the Cod and pierogis plate and our friend ordered the sausage plate. Portions were generous and pricing reasonable. However flavorful, we were disappointed with the potato pierogis as they were very tough, chewy and difficult to cut; almost hard when they should be soft. The apple strudel and Black Forest cake were excellent! We had a nice casual relaxing time. Server was very nice as was the hostess when we entered. Plenty of epicurean delights and craft beers to choose from! TAKE NOTE: There is no free public parking!! The lot across the street is $15 and HofbH valet is $20. Your best bet is to take Uber here.

This place is super cool and the environment is awesome. Just know that when coming here you are definitely coming for the environment and energy rather than the food. The pierogies are definitely the best thing out of the batch of food we ordered so I would order that if you are in between things or do not know what to order. I felt personally that everything just lacked flavor and the chicken sausage as well as one order of the pierogies came out cold. I was a bit disappointed as there weren't more house made mustards, on the table was just bottled yellow, stadium and stone-ground mustard but the homemade mustard and beer cheese dip with the pretzel were good. As for the sides, I would skip the sauerkraut. i was super excited to get some with my meal but it was just bland but the house potato salad was AWESOME and really unique and flavorful so I would order that if in between sides. This place is really awesome and could be a great place for a drink with friends and everyone is friendly and energetic. Just expect the food to be average or below and maybe stick with some shareables for the best experience!

Good but not great but acceptable!!I finally was able to visit the Hofbrauhaus in Cleveland and it didn't disappoint!!!While their hours of operation and menu have changed, I did have a good time and experience while here for a quick business trip. The Hofbrauhaus Cleveland is owned and operated by the State of Bavaria just like their Las Vegas and Munich locations. While the Munich original has been open since the early 1500, the Vegas location just opened less than 15 years ago. Comparing the Vegas location to Cleveland the winner is Las Vegas due to a more authentic ambiance and feel. Both places brew their own authentic German beer according to the German Reinheitsgebot and you can tell by the fresh taste.Give them a try while in town!

Very large indoor and outdoor space conducive for large groups and kids alike. We came in for a few beers and had a great lunch. The jagerschnitzel was delicious albeit a bit salty with the gravy. The sausage tower gives you a little bit of everything a highly recommend. Potato soup is hearty and very good. Lastly the kids chicken tenders were great, hot, and served fast. Enjoyed our kind waitress and the live music that came along with the ambiance. High fives for a changing table in the bathroom!

Our second time in this restaurant and never again! First visit we had excellent service and great chicken paprikash. Our second visit chicken paprikash it tasted and looked like it was sitting out for hours! Only 10 people eating in restaurant, and w our waitress was nowhere around to bring us drinks or whatever we needed. Pork roast sauce it tasted like somebody spilled vinegar all over . We were so dissapointed , that we didn't order any dessert.. Left hungry.. And no bread with dinner??? Germans love their bread...
