High St. Hop House

Stopped in here on the way to see a movie next door at the NightLight theater. It was a great combo and I really liked the drinks. I had this one and a shot of a liquor that the bartender had recommended. Prompt service, nice place

Darn good bartenders, creative drinks, high quality ingredients. This place is sandwiched between Baxter's and Totally Baked. Great place to grab a drink...any drink...beer, wine, cocktail.... They literally have everything!

This is one of Akron's staples: great beer, great shows next door and good people. It's always a good time here!

What a gem! We were looking for a late night slice and found High St. Hop House connected to Totally Baked Pizza. The bar area was decorated with lights for Christmas. I loved the stained glass accents on the bar (future home wish). We had been at a jazz show at BLU so we put in a pizza order next door for pick up. It still needed a few minutes so we grabbed a drink here. I had one of their Seasonal cocktails - the Clarified Punch #2 for $10. This was the BEST cocktail I've ever had!!! The rum blend had a wonderful hint of chai, pineapple, and coconut. But a refreshing note of lemon. I don't know how they made this but I need more!! I'll spend the rest of my life trying to remake this. They have their draft list on the chalkboard on the wall, which includes some local picks. They had a special black rice lager for $3 that sold out soon after we arrived. It was pretty packed around 10 PM on a Friday night, but we were able to get seats at the bar. There was also another room with a little stage area and more, small table seating. We got lucky and found a parking spot right across the place but not sure we'll always find street parking. I'll happily come back for more!

High Street Hop House is a great spot for a good cocktail! They have a vast selection of whiskey, vodka gin, you name it and awesome bartenders who know how to make thenperfect drinks! If you are a beer drinkers, they have an array of those on tap. Not my thing, so I can delve deeper on the beer selection. The space has a great laid back vibe to add to a chill after work or weekend drink with friends.

The Hop House is such a chill bar located in the heart of downtown Akron. So if you're grabbing a drink after work it's not a bad walk. After 6 pm there's free parking on the street and a nearby garage. The bartenders are super friendly. So you never really ever have to drink alone. For entertainment they have live music occasionally from local musicians. They also offer free darts and pool! When it's a nice day out it's always good to go and take your drink to their patio. It's a cozy bar that's great to go to just hangout with your friends. I highly recommend checking this place out if you're in the area!

Cool little spot. If I lived in Akron, I'd make a point of being here all the time. You get a discount with your yelp check-in, so make sure you do that! Good variety of beers and booze. Looked like the room off to the side was maybe a cigar lounge? I'm not sure, but I did see that they had a selection of cigars for sale. I can't wait to come back again.

One of my favorites! The bar environment is great and the bartenders are attentive and well-educated about their selection. There is a patio in the back, darts and a pool table, live music, and a wine bar if beer and cocktails aren't your thing. My only sticking point it the women's restrooms, their doors don't lock very well and have lead to some awkward interactions.

This place is awesome! It is attached to a pizza joint so you can get food. I thought I was going to a dive bar but was presently surprised with some food options I could carry over the "line". Give it a shot.

What a gem! I felt like we stepped back in time for some amazing drinks! For those of you searching for a non-alcoholic drink, they have a delicious lavender/lemon/honey mocktail that makes you feel like you're part of the crowd. The bartender knew how to perfectly execute all of our drinks. Impressed! Can't wait to go back and bring more friends! Only wish it had more seating!
