Hibachi Japan Steak House

Sat at the bar and had yellowtail and spicy scallops. Friendly bartenders. They make the best "old fashion" cocktail in town.

The bad reviews don't make sense. I walked right in and did not have to wait long for a hibachi table for 6. I'm picky bout hibachi as everywhere is so different and this place was so delicious!!! Our waitress was the most thorough, friendly server we've experienced in a while! Our chef Albert was absolutely fantastic, personable, friendly and funny. Soup and salad was so good and hibachi chicken and rice was cooked perfectly with great flavor.

This place is ok, not great. Benihana is MUCH better!I ordered the fried rice and the filet mignon. The filet mignon was under seasoned. It had essentially no flavor.The fried rice was okay. It had no chicken in it, just rice, egg, lots of soy sauce, and vegetables.The soup was very salty.The shrimp was good. It was probably my favorite thing as it wasn't as salty.The alcoholic drinks were too sugary.This place is just ok. I would not return. I prefer flavor over saltiness.

We used to love this restaurant but it's been a few years since we'd last been there and a LOT has changed. Firstly, we arrived a half hour after they opened on a Saturday night and the place was absolutely FILTHY. The floors at the entrance area were sticky with coated grease and it smelled like dirty grease. The floors in the dining area were also covered in grease and very slippery. A huge hazard. The table and chairs felt sticky to the touch as well. The women's restroom was covered in grime and trash as well. And it had just opened for the day! The place needs a serious professional deep cleaning. Secondly, for it being a Saturday night they were out of a ton of products. They had no bottled beer. Out of calamari and the crab for the sushi rolls. Out of several of the draft beers. Finally, The food was sub par compared to how it used to be. The prices have increased a lot since we've last been there where the portion sizes decreased. The sushi rolls are shockingly tiny for the price paid. The rice is plain. No egg. And a tiny piece of filet was given. It seemed like they give Large portion of rice to fill you up on with the lack of meat and veggie portions. The chef was entertaining at least. But needless to say we will not be returning. Would rather make the trip to wasabi or Benihana . At least they're clean.

The food is way over priced and to be honest it isn't good sushi, small portions in the handrolls. The chairs are not stable (repair or get new ones) and all the tables in the bar need something put under the legs so they don't wobble. While eating in the bar I watched one of the hibachi chefs roll his cart full of food to one of the grills. I continued to watch him cook and much to my disbelief he pulled all the meat from the lowest shelf of the cart inches from the floor. It wasn't covered with plastic wrap or protected in any way. I can honestly say I will not be returning.

The food was great! The prices weren't bad either... but they had an atrocious bathroom. I went after I ate my food and I was left with a disgusting feeling. I hope their kitchen doesn't look like this...

The grill hoods were just about to leak grease as the hoods have grease trails and rain drops forming. they clearly only clean half of the hood as the other half is harder to reach and right over the grill top. Table wood trim felt sticky and ask for it be clean and was sticky after. Chicken was rubber, I ask for no mushrooms/shellfish and they still gave me both. Chief trying to pull stupid political jokes like thanks Obama for high cooking oil prices and blame bush during an onion volcano was uncalled for a graduate dinner. Lastly, the mini Walmart sized cupcake was the real icing. The cupcake was 2x1inch with caramel looking sauce saying congrats.

We had a reservation for 6:30 on Saturday night. We weren't seated until 7:40!! For a reservation!! Not to mention the lobby was PACKED, we were all standing shoulder to shoulder as we waited, my party was pushed up against the wall in the corner. Once at the table, the service wasn't any better. Around 8p the host that sat us told us "sorry for the wait, I forgot to tell your server you were here". I wish I was joking. He said he forgot! We didn't get our drinks until 8:25. Our cook (who didn't join us until 8:40 and almost immediately knocked over his rice, causing us to wait longer while he grabbed more rice) was fine, he was funny but nothing special. We didn't get our appetizers/ soup&salad until after the rice, veggies, and meat were already cooked (9pm). We didn't get all of our main food until 9:25p, didn't get our full meal (including the sherbet that comes with the meal), until around 9:40. Again, this was meant to be a 6:30 reservation!!I'm hoping that we just caught them on a bad night and I do feel abad for our server, who was running around like a chicken with his head cut off, but he forgot and messed up too many things for me to be too sorry for him. Silverware, drinks, sauces, parts of the meals, all had to be asked for as they were forgotten. Absolutely will not be returning - I would've left around 7p with us having to wait for our reservation, but we were there for my FIL's work anniversary, so we stayed. Not worth the wait and not worth the time and money.

We have been here once before and we thought it was fun and the food was great. It's been a couple years... well I can tell you it's not fun and the food is not good.... Certainly not worth the upscale prices. The man who cooked our food, burnt the veggies, the shrimp was so chewy that we had to spit it out. He also had the personality of a rock. The CO2 was down so nothing had carbonation. They were having to pour pop out of the can, which is fine. It just meant you got your drinks a lot slower. Our server was the best part of the night. She was super nice... and helpful.We definitely won't be coming here again.

Worst hibachi restaurant I've ever been to. The service is extremely slow, I got up to go searching for our server to find them all sitting at the bar chatting. it was a total of 3 1/2 hours for an 8 o clock dinner. The edamame came out cold. The soup was spicy? The quality of all meat was low. The rice was questionable. I asked for double rice but somehow got the same portion as everyone else... So not worth your time or money. Better to take your business elsewhere.
