Herb's Tavern

My son and I went for 'Breakfast with Santa' for the second year and it was great.My son loved the experience; service was incredible and it was a great setting. My little guy and I will be back - it is our holiday tradition.

Apparently the go to local tavern in Rocky River...and it should be the go-to.Fabulous old school ambience, old school service, and old school food with a nice selection of beers. Specials written on the chalkboard on the way in and on the wall each day. Old school.Our party of three had a burger (delicious), onion rings (delicious), a salmon Caesar salad (delicious), the fish and chips (delicious, if a little heavily battered), and fries. Probably wouldn't order the fish and chips again as a result, but confident that the rest of the menu probably delivers as a good bar/tavern menu should.Three stars not a ding at all. It would be a solid 4+ in the tavern category -- just up against fine dining for stars four and five. It's nothing super special. But a great place to catch up with family or friends for a quick, informal meal.

Recently moved to Rocky River and our neighbors suggested trying this spot as a local place to visit.The staff were friendly and accommodating... the mussels were recommended and we also tried the hot pepper cheese poppers... both were great and we will be back to try more.

Stay away. The food made me sick. Really disappointed as I had high hopes but absolutely let down.

For a place that used to be known for good burgers, they now don't know how to cook them as they come out gray with no crispy edges or crust. Not very appetizing.

So saddened to be making this review, only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because the service was great. The quality of food(lack there of) and pricing was mind blowing. We used to frequent herbs and loved it. It has been a couple years, Two frozen burgers, a bowl of the smallest wings I've ever seen, 2 flat cokes, and hot pepper cheese balls for $90(with tip) Absolutely heartbreaking.

Great food, service, music, and atmosphere! Excellent Cabernet. I had the Herb's Burger and my husband had the clam chowder...outstanding. We will be back!

Service friendly . Fried bologna sandwich and burgers very good and cooked as requested.

Hadn't been in quite a while...kind of sticker shock with glass of wine...$15???food was ok but not for the price. Lots of other places in Rocky River with better food at more reasonable price. Won't be back.
