Quiet, calm, and clean but could use a bit of updating. The service was fast and the server was polite and friendly. A bit of a language barrier but we were able to overcome this.The food...AMAZING!!!I wish I lived closer so I could try more items.The menu was quite large, so surely anyone could find something. I do wish, that it included definitions for those who are not familiar with all the dishes.

The chicken tikka masala was good. The chicken biryani was ok, but a little dry. The garlic naan had great flavor and would've been good if the bottom wasn't hard/burnt. I think it's worth a try if you haven't had it though.

Excellent local Indian restaurant in downtown Akron! Very nice and helpful staff. They were able to answer our menu questions. The food is freshly prepared with very fresh ingredients. I noticed that the restaurant was also doing a very good job of keeping up with take out orders while taking care of guests dining in. The meat was very tender and seasoned perfectly. The sides were also very fresh. Everything tasted great! Good flavors. Enjoyed dining here!

If you are looking for authenticity - come here! This is a small restaurant, but the menu is broad, and you won't be disappointed. I had the coconut rice and a few other things and I will absolutely be back for more! Service was wonderful, personable and friendly, and the ambiance is relaxed. Perfect little spot to take your friends!

We got take out from here. I loved walking in and seeing the Indian movie (my boyfriend was insistent it was a music video) on the tv. Why are Masala fries my new favorite thing?! They were actually still crispy when we got home. I think about them weekly. I got paneer makhani I believe, the tomato base with peppers, so good. Perfectly spiced.

This place is still the best for Indian food. Consistent 100/10 service here. Came for a Saturday late lunch, and the place was pretty busy! Had a few take out orders come through while we waited for our food. I always get the same thing but the chef gave us a complimentary Kadi Pakoda sauce (dairy/yogurt dip with spices). Super tasty! We will have to order it next time. It tasted exceptional with the garlic naan, like the perfect pairing. Place is always clean, and has a warm and cozy home feeling. I love the tv with the music videos on, it's my fave part!Overall, fantastic food and service. As always. We will be back again! Thank you Shailen and staff.

Fantastic food. They have upgraded to real plates and gotten rid of disposable. Fantastic. Our regular spot when we visit Akron Art Museum. Yum

Food was very good (lamb biriyani). Took a little while but you can tell it was just made. Lighting and decor isn't much to speak of but that seems to be the norm in many Indian restaurants.

While in the area I scoped out an Indian restaurant to try, not quite knowing what to expect for Northeast Ohio. Heera was our pick and I enjoyed the food quite a bit.We started with the vegetable bhajji which was crispy and offered a nice variety of vegetables including deliciously sweet bites of onion that were great with the cool green chutney. For my entree I ordered the chicken kadhai. The gravy had long-simmered flavor and I liked the bursts of flavor that the more coarsely ground spices imparted. The white meat chicken itself was a bit overcooked and stringy sadly. The lachha paratha were a treat to accompany the dish. They seemed to be in a Northern style- not particularly buttery and some flavor of the atta came through in them. Very tasty!I ordered the chicken kadhai with medium spice and found the heat pleasant though more on the mild side of medium compared to other Indian spots.

Don't let the simple storefront fool you into thinking that the food is nondescript. It's a delight. We dine here once a month after visiting the Akron Art Museum, trying something different each time. Today I had tofu dosas, which was served with a light lentil soup. Sooo delicious. My husband had his favorite eggplant dish. Quick, gracious service.
