First time at Heck's. We were seated quickly and our server was very friendly. I recently had lunch with my granddaughter, she ordered a salmon burger that she enjoyed. I ordered a bowl of soup (stuffed pepper) and a mushroom Swiss burger. The soup was recommended by our server. I don't know where they got the recipe but before they made soup out of the stuffed peppers the meat was forgotten. It was a bowl of rice in a tomato base sauce. They must dragged a little bit of the peppers through the sauce and the dumped the rice in. It wasn't warm, but was flavorless, I had two spoonfuls. Their burgers are boastfully grass fed. The cows must have been grazing at the dog park. The French fries were greasy. I did not finish the soup or fries. Not good!One and done for me!

Went with my aunt for brunch the Sunday before Christmas and expected that it would be crazy busy with a long wait for drinks and food. We were pleasantly surprised to find that not the case. Well. It was definitely busy but the drinks and food were on point and our server was perfection! Good portions and I like their own take on some basic things to give the food and drinks their own unique flare. I'm excited to visit once they can move to the larger location and look forward to another brunch or dinner soon!

Father/Daughter Brunch review #2:My daughter and I immediately loved the ambiance and beautiful restaurant. The menu options were varied and plenty sounded delicious. We were seated almost immediately and given extremely friendly service. My daughter had an omelette and I had the short rib Benedict. Her's was great if not spectacular. Mine was decidedly not good. I'd definitely go back and pick something else but that meal is what dropped a star. There was zero salt on the short ribs and the damp spinach overpowered every other flavor on the plate. The home fries were well seasoned and crunch - a huge plus. My daughter had an "innocent cocktail" and absolutely loved it. We gave it a 7.7 out of 10 and rounded up the 4 stars on yelp.

Food was excellent along with an outstanding waitress!!French Onion soup and crème brûlée ! What's not to love! It is a tad loud but that is something that probably can't be controlled Restaurant is clean.

I have been to Heck's a few times before, and I always cringed before going this time around.Previous times I have gone , my impression of the menu was that it was trying too hard to go out of the norm. There isn't a really straight forward burger on the menu (and I just learned this time you could just order a simple burger if you wanted).This time around was Mother's Day coinciding with my daughter's birthday. They chose to go to Heck's I really was not thrilled but I went (of course). I struggled with the menu and the burgers. I did ask the server if the chicken sandwich was really ground chicken or a patty. She explained to me that it was ground chicken and she recommended it on a brioche bun instead of the pretzel bun. Unfortunatley , the service was quite slow and our server didn't really check in with our table to really explain things. The table next to us was getting pretty antsy about the wait saying things to their server. Eventually after almost 60 minutes of being in the restaurant (on the patio, where it was getting colder --spring in OH), someone came out and checked with us and apologized for the delay.Our food came out shortly after that. My family ordered a salad to be shared, and my daughter ordered a traditional hamburger (LOL). My chicken sandwich was actually very delicious and I ordered the onion rings to go with it (for an upcharge). The rings were done 'normally' crisp sweet batter surrounding onion ring.My appreciation of Heck's just jumped up once again and I would be okay with going again knowing now I could order a traditional burger or the wonderful chicken sandwich on brioche bun!

The place wasn't crowded, which made for a nice, quiet atmosphere -- perfect for a relaxed meal. The highlight of my visit was definitely the French Onion soup, which was excellent. However, the cleanliness of the restrooms left something to be desired. A bit more attention there would have made the visit more enjoyable.

Hecks is a perfect dinner date spot in Avon. We had a double date there last night and everyone really enjoyed their meal. Service was fast and friendly and the food was cooked to perfection. They have a lovely cocktail menu as well. Their menu rotates a bit with the seasons and much of the ingredients are locally sourced, adding a freshness to each bite. I chose the Salmon with came with a green tomato BBQ sauce which was amazing. They have vegetarian options as well which is always a plus!

Food: Cod was very OK, honestly it could've used more flavor. Buffalo cauliflower and Brussel sprouts were also nothing special, but they weren't terrible. Service: Our waitress was friendly, and patient as well. The food was also fast! Ambiance: It wasn't too crowded, and there were plenty of tables. The restaurant wasn't too big/small. Nice ambiance.
