Hasselbach Meats

This place used to be amazing. Would go here every month to restock the freezer bit not anymore. The care they use to put is gone and the product went with it. Their chicken breast box is the worse 100 dollars I have ever spent. Was shredded, cut, and mangled to the point of being unusable as a breast and needs to be cut up. I talked to someone and they said "other than being shredded it looked fine." Check the photo below to see if you would pay almost 4 dollars a pound for chicken like this. Comes in a box with four bags so who knows what you are getting until you open it.

I LOVE Hasselbachs!! My hubbie grewup on their meat and of course the 1st time back to Ohio as a couple he took me there and ever since then I do NOT buy meat from anywhere else except whole foods and I live in Chicago&my hubbie lives in the Virgin Islands (where there is NO good meat supplier) so WE stock up 1-2 times a year at Hasselbachs ;). The family is super friendly&always treat us like their own-giving us suggestions also!When I first started going there in 2001 I thought all their meat was free range and chem free/conscious-think I was wrong BUT I do know they try! They just went off the grid and built a huge windmill which I think is a very conscious move!I strongly recco if you are near and desire QUALITY meat drop on in,grab a number and take your time looking in the cases;)Bon Appetit!

This is the only place I will buy my meats!! Hasselbach's have the best quality, the best tasting meats, and the staff are so helpful if you have any questions. Well worth our drive...and then some!!

Since changing hands, not so good. Out of bacon, mushy meat sticks....... Won'be shopping there until they get their act together.

I'm a regular to this meat market. Great family owned trusted source of delicious meat. We are spoiled go here every week.

Love, love, love this place! I live in Michigan and will only buy my chicken here in Ohio at Hasselbachs! The meat is so fresh and the meat cutters are so knowledgeable and are willing to share their knowledge with you! Friendly staff...if there were 100 stars, they would receive it!

I highly recommend Hasselbach meats there selection is outstanding. They also process all there meats in houseThere prices are very reasonable compared to a grocery store as well.

We drive from Toledo to stock our freezer, it's that good!! The only place to find an old fashion English cut roast, bones on anywhere, and yeah, it's as good as my Dad's Sunday dinner.

I am a meat eating man. I have literally cooked and eaten thousands of steaks. I purchased the 2" thick bone in "cowboy" ribeye from Hasselbach meats last weekend and it was the best steak I HAVE EVER EATEN. Better than any prime, restaurant or any other steak. The marbling was very consistent and the flavor was unbelievable. I will be back, the meat here is exceptional.

The quality of the meat as well as the homey helpful individualized service. Great place for service only remembered by older generations
