You have to be careful with the pre-packaged meat. I got a 10 lb case of spareribs "on sale" for $51.90. I didn't mind the price because of 1) the convenience of ordering for pickup, 2) I thought I would be supporting local farmers and 3) at that price, I thought I'd get some decent meat. Only point 1 was applicable. The box of ribs came from Denmark, where apparently the cows are lazy because they are more fat than meat. Not at all worth the price. The spicy chicken Wendy's patties I purchased were a good deal though.

Very disappointing drove all the way out only to find frozen seafood- nothing was fresh. Bought $23 worth of lamb chops-also frozen and they were tough. I've had better quality at Sam's club. over rated and over priced. Won't be back. Lots to improve upon before opening new location in Jackson.

Just bought my second bundle. Meet is awesome, they bring it right to our home and all the employees are pleasant and helpful. Wonderful company and I will always be a returning customer.

So i gave only 3 stars because It reads "fresh" meats. My delivery was last on the route, a little late but I did not mind. The issue is I had no idea the meat would come frozen. Well 1/2 of it did anyway. The defrosted meat i split up into smaller food saver bags and refroze. It was a very nice looking briskett, and Sirloin roast, but since they were frozen still I could not cut the filets up. We had pork chops so far, good but I think we overcooked, our fault on that. We also had the sirloin burgers, still waiting on an answer what cut and how much fat in them. But they were good, just needed a lot of seasoning. They did have very good deals and with an $11.99 delivery fee if you spend $100 was really good. I also visited the shop, a little disappointed by what was in the cases. But the reality of it is this is NOT a butcher shop and they don't claim to be. They are a meat and seafood wholesaler. For what you get is a good deal. I just like a good fresh butcher shop more.

Great prices on meat and poultry. Have not tried the seafood as it is mostly frozen. Very friendly service, and the Jackson Township location is open on Sundays which is nice.

Had a problem with management. Very disrespectful. Very clean store and nice location but the people who run this have no respect.

Amazing staff, customer service is outstanding! I sent a text on a Sunday when the store was closed, expecting a reply in the next couple of business days, however, Marc responded within an hour...the issue I had a question about was answered, and Marc's response was amazing. I really felt like i was important, even though it was my 1st order with Hometown Meats and Seafood. Marc and his staff go above and beyond to put together a lot of top quality meat, & seafood packs to satisfy any member of your household, great variety and exceptional value! Thank you, your local business has earned my business, you're my go to spot from this point forward! P.S. just grilled up the Filets, Bone in Chops, & some Brisket Burgers...AMAZING
