Beautiful playhouse! This is a great venue, with no bad seats in the house. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back for more shows!

We went to see Sense & Sensibility. First time at Hanna Theater. Everyone working there was very pleasant, helpful, and happy to be there, especially the two gentleman in Will Call. The theater is laid out perfectly for performances. It's smaller which gives just about every seat in the house a good view. This is nice because it can cater to every price point.

First time back since the pandemic, and the theater people and play were still on par! We enjoy this smaller theater with seats close to the rounded stage. The parking garage is attached. Be sure to buy a parking pass when you order tickets. Sundays have ice cream. Delicious.

We went to 39 Steps at the Hanna Theater. We had such a hood time! The theater is a smaller one. The seats were comfy. We sat in the first row and the actors were running right in front of us. I feel of the actors are going to do that, the first row should be roped off. My husband is taller and his feet were kind of in the way. The actors made due though. The ushers were very nice. Heck, all the staff. If you've never been to Playhouse Square, be prepared to pay stadium prices for beverages and other refreshments. Parking is....Downtown parking. Overall, the theater is old but nice and show was amazing. I highly recommend both!

This is a great theater that is much smaller (intimate) than the other venues, so almost every seat has a great view. We had front row seats and felt as though we were part of the show as the actors utilize every bit of theater and stage space available. We went to see Mamma Mia and really enjoyed the intimate seating, the amazing sets and great lighting and sound. There is a concession stand with regular beverages such as water and soda as well as a large bar. We will definitely be returning soon!

I'm huge playhouse square lover, and I'm going to Hanna Theater at least 3-4 times a year. In 2018, I decided to become subscriber and bought advanced tickets. My last show that I've seen is "million dollar quartet". I I had fun as usual! The actors did incredible job- music, songs, voices all were amazing! Looking forward to he new season and probably will buy again subscription. By the way, they offer discounts for students. One small minus- seats should be updates because of smell. Great place to visit anytime!

Christmas Carol, Hairspray, Hamilton and more....those are just a few of the amazing offerings here at Great Lakes Theatre district in the historic Playhouse Square! Hanna Theatre is one of my favorite theatres in The Square. A more intimate venue with fantastic architecture. The Hanna often hosts the smaller productions. We come here several times a year and we are NEVER disappointed! I have been meaning to review this place for like....ever. Beehive: The 60's Musical pushed me over the edge to review The Hanna. WHAT AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE IT WAS. The Hanna never disappoints. They have quality performers, fantastic stage sets and their seating is comfortable. Restrooms on both floors, an extensive (and expensive) bar offering and friendly staff. I have yet to be any less than wowed by any performance they put on. The kids and I love this venue and you will too! Become a subscriber today and experience all Great Lakes Theatre has to offer!

Love this little theatre! I went here for an after work event and really enjoyed the show I saw (Death Trap), and the general admission section in the back corner was great for our group to mingle together without being as constrictive as a row of seats would have been. Also really like Tom Hanks and I thought it was cool they donated the bar area. Just be warned that you will get reprimanded if you try to take a picture inside.

One of the finest acting companies to be found anywhere! I am constantly amazed that they are able to top themselves season after season - but they do! Visiting actors are brought in for key roles and are hard to spot vs. long standing members. Some highlights were Hamlet last year where I was seated onstage and this years Hunchback which had me weeping for an hour. Grab a drink from the built in bar and see live theater at its finest.

We recently went to the Hanna to see Shakespeare's, The Taming of The Shrew, and as always, we were blown away. First, the play itself was incredible and regardless of what you think of Shakespeare, seeing his live productions (as opposed to reading them) is worth every second. As far as the Hanna itself, what can I say? It is incredible there and we are so lucky here in Cleveland to have such a gem! It is simply lovely inside and each seat is great--no matter where you decide to buy your ticket--you are guaranteed a good seat. The fact that Katherine Hepburn once graced that stage says enough. Love the theater district in Cleveland and if you have the chance to attend a production at the Hanna, you will not regret it.
