Handel's Homemade Ice Cream

They have many flavors to choose from in addition to having vegan options. There's nice outdoor seating and parking lot is spacious. The ice cream itself was ok. It was creamy but not strong flavors to the vanilla. Tasted the Spouse Like a House, vanilla with Oreos and Caramel Pretzel Crunch.Spouse like a House is vanilla ice cream with Reese's peanut butter ripple and chocolate covered pretzels. The vanilla base did not have a very strong vanilla flavor to it, the peanut butter ripple was salty with not much peanut flavor and the chocolate covered pretzels were a little stale. The ratio of fillings to ice cream was also way more ice cream than fillings. The Oreo same not strong vanilla but had good amount of Oreos mixed in. The Caramel pretzel crunch had a very strong caramel flavor but again the pretzels were a little stale.

We love Handel's. Great variety of flavors and nice portions. Some of our favorites have been pistachio, black cherry, coffee chocolate chip and black walnut.

There are a lot of better local ice cream joints to visit. They had one person working on a hot afternoon. The wait was way longer than it should have been for fairly mediocre and somewhat overpriced ice cream. I had a sundae, which wasn't terrible, but probably not worth the price. I am spoiled by frozen custard, and I much prefer the creamer and more flavorful taste of such.

This place pleasantly surprised me. I had been here once or twice before several years ago but I really didn't remember what it was like. I expected average ice cream at an average price.First of all, I was impressed at the wide selection of ice cream. I found several flavors that I would love to try another time. I decided on the Coffee Chocolate Chip. It's hand-dipped but incredibly soft. Honestly, I think it's the softest hand-dipped ice cream I've ever had. I love coffee but I've found that I don't enjoy many coffee-flavored things because they usually are too strong or too weak. This, however, was perfect. There were a lot of chocolate chips in it, but not too many. Service was average at best, but it didn't really affect my opinion of the place.I rarely give out 5 stars especially to chains, but I have to in this case.

Tried it for the first time and it didn't disappoint! The portion sizes are generous and they have a huge selection of flavors. I tried the chocolate cake batter and it was delicious! It was a busy summer night, but the line moved fast and there was plenty of outdoor seating right next to the shop.

My favorite ice cream around!!So many good choices....it's always hard to decide which to choose.I tend to gravitate toward "Spouse Like a House"..I know, I know..weird name. How does malted vanilla ice cream with chocolate covered pretzels filled with peanut butter sound? Yep, it tastes as good as it sounds.Open Year around...YIPEE!! :)

I will stand in line outside in the freezing cold to get three scoops of their coffee chocolate chip ice cream. Handel's is hands down, the best ice cream vendor around. I also like their chocolate, cherry cordial, and mint ice cream. Their ice cream is soft, but not too soft and just creamy enough. I should have been going here a long time ago.

I typically pass on ice cream, but I love Handel's. The blue monster and cotton candy are my favorite. Husband is obsessed with midnight madness.

They literally wouldn't accept my $50 bill for payment then the girl slammed the window shut on me. Seriously! Since when does a place not accept a $50??

We love Handel's Ice Cream but are really disappointed with the new much smaller Handel Pop's. Not worth the $2.95 price
