Handel's Homemade Ice Cream - Akron East End

Friendly staff and so many choices of ice cream!! I ordered my "go to" flavor- coffee chocolate chip and it was smooth and creamy. Will look for more Handel's whenever I'm in the region. Love fresh ice cream!!

This ice cream is like really good. I was intrigued on Sunday but the line was crazy long. Monday night was much more manageable. If I was local I would come back every week to try something new. There is limited seating but really it shouldn't take you long to eat.

My favorite ice cream place in Ohio :) My favorite is their chocolate peanut butter brownie ice cream. Just the perfect amount of sweetness!

I brought my family here for an evening treat and the ice cream was incredible. The blue monster was over-the-top good. The mint chocolate chip and coffee were amazing. My youngest tried the orange sherbet and cookies/cream - we still talk about this moment in Akron weeks afterwards - thank you!!

Feels a little like the Atlantic City boardwalk with the walk-up window OMG the sundae I just consumed! Every bite felt like a joyful indulgence. I am so glad I let the cashier talk me out of being "sensible." Ice cream should be indulgent. Mine was butter pecan with caramel and pecans. Not chopped pecans. Not crushed pecans. Pecans. I was so into mine I barely blinked long enough to snap a pic of David's Caramel with Pecan Praline.

Handel's ice cream has been a long time favorite of mine since I was a kid. Seeing the chain still around always makes my heart smile. They make very quality creamy ice creams for a fraction of what other local chains around the area serve. They have a wide variety of flavors from classic cookie dough to their originals like Graham Central Station. They even have yogurt and vegan options. My go to is a hurricane with heath pieces in it. If it's your first time they do have sampler options so go ahead and get a "flight" of their options.Although they've expanded their chain to different states it's still a Northeast Ohio original that I'm very proud to support!

This place is amazing! Came here and saw a million options for ice cream on the menu! There was a short line, but the people working zoomed through everyone - super efficient! I had a double of green tea ice cream. Not icy at all, sometimes you get ice cream that has those ice crystals in, not here! The customer service here was great. Didn't feel rushed at all. I'll be back next time when in Akron!

Lines can long, order online and go to pickup window. Easy peasy! Order is always correct.

I went here last night with my boyfriend. We couldn't decide what we wanted because there were so many options so The staff recommended some flavors to us. We got The 4 Scoop sampler which was a huge portion, I didn't finish mine but it was sooo good. The staff was super friendly!
