It's amazing to finally have Yemeni food right here in Toledo! This spot has friendly service and a really cool ambiance, with a big fountain in the center of the first room, which has the cash register and several tables as well. Casual ambiance, they put down single-use plastic tablecloths to help keep things clean. They have an additional large dining room as well, but the two times I've been here, they haven't been busy enough to seat people there. If, like me, you prefer your meat without bones, then my top recommendation is the fahsah (lamb stew). It is extremely good. Very hearty flavor, large portion, and goes great with the big flatbread that comes with it. Comes out bubbling hot in a stone bowl. All other meat entrees contain bones. I tried one of the chicken and rice dishes, the one with potatoes. It was also good, but not as good as the fahsah. They have two kinds of spiced tea. I've been getting the slightly more expensive one, which comes with milk, and is delicious. The mango lassi is good, and they have some other interesting looking beverages that I haven't tried yet. I also haven't tried out the desserts yet, as the entrees are quite filling. I expect I'll be a regular here.

Their Fahsah was absolutely delicious! Comes in a clay bowl steaming hot (wait a few minutes because it will burn your mouth) and you eat it with warm bread (tannour) that's like pita. It is SO flavorful. The lamb Haneth was also very good. We preferred the fahsah over it. Loved this place! So happy we have this place near us.

We love this restaurant. Been twice and will be back many more times. The food is fantastic and the staff is very friendly. The Fahsah has rapidly become one of my favorite dishes in Toledo. Not spicy, but an absolute flavor bomb of warm spices that are aromatic and delicious.

Five of us celebrated with an early dinner here this week. This is a start-up operation that needs some work but the food and the service were fabulous. The menu is not terribly complicated and our service person was kind to explain all of it. Very affordable prices and ample portions! We enjoyed dishes with chicken, lamb, and fish. The fish (Pompano) was out of this world good. It takes a little work but everyone tasted it and loved it. The restaurant interior needs some investments and maybe a talented decor person but these guys have a good thing started with an active carryout business.

First experience with Hadramout and I'm very impressed. I ordered take out and got the chicken to split with the family. Everyone was impressed. The chicken was so flavorful and tender, it's already one of my favorite I've ever had. And the rice. They told me it was good, but it's better than that. Just phenomenally delicious. The gentleman at the register was incredibly kind and welcoming. I don't have vast experience with Yemeni cuisine, but this meal was delicious. It's going to be a staple in our house now. I'm looking forward to dining in. The atmosphere was calm and inviting. This place is a gem.

I wanted to be able to leave five stars but alas... I'll start by saying the mandi chicken was good. So soft and fell right off the bone. The rice was good too. And the hummus was delicious (less garlicky and somewhat coarser texture than others but still good). The salad was mostly lettuce. They gave us some kind of broth we didn't order. It tasted good but assuming it was lamb or beef based - never told us which is an issue if you dont eat that kind of food. Some things to be aware of. They cover the table in some cheap throwaway plastic tablecloth that looks like what you'd cover the floor during construction. It's tacky and a waste of plastic. And as far as wasting plastic.... Be forewarned that they only give you water in a single serve plastic bottle that costs you $1 each. So any refill is going to cost. IMO it's ridiculous to charge for water. They don't even give you the option of tap water like they do in Europe :(. The first waiter never even brought the water. Second guy served the food and that's when we asked for our drinks. Then he only came out once to see if we had everything. Only one small napkin each and, since they never checked on us again, that didn't go very far. No knives so you're using your hands to assist in eating the chicken. Need more napkins. Then after we were done we just sat there. A good 10-15 minutes. No one checked, no one brought the bill, nothing. We kept wondering if we were supposed to go up and pay? Finally my bf went up to the counter and asked and was given a bill in one of those black folders which suggests they were supposed to bring the bill to the table. Very weird. I also noticed people that were drinking tea or coffee were served it on paper cups. Not very eco friendly. I get they just opened and probably have some kinks to work out... but lose the plastic tablecloths and provide glasses of water to your customers. And check on your diners to see if they have what they need because that's the whole purpose for people dining out. Despite the food being tasty if they don't revise some of these issues they're going to unfortunately lose business. I'm not sure if I'll go back.
