Gunselman’s Steakhouse & Bar

We arrived at 4:45 and were the first customers in the upstairs dining area. The waitress and supporting staff were polite, experienced and made sure that we had a great dining experience. The food arrived in a timely manner and was hot and delicious. I had Grouper w/grits and broccoli. My wife had the aged rib eye steak with grits. It was a great dining experience and we look forward to going back sometime in the near future. Parking can be an issue so I would suggest getting their with ample time before your reservation if applicable.Dan H

We went to Gunselman's for my husband's birthday w my family. I will say the service of the waitress we had was very attentive. She was very organized and prompt.The steaks in my opinion were very overwhelming w charcoal from cooking. They tried passing my ribeye off as an overcooked strip saying it was a ribeye, I made them recook it for the price I was paying. The potatoes were tiny, Brussels sprouts were good. My husband got the seafood Jumbalya and the serving was small. The main restaurant is not very child friendly, just so you know ahead of time. And you can't order off the pub menu upstairs so if some one in your party isn't a fancy eater they shit outta luck.I probably wouldn't go back because of the price and way they cook the steaks.

Fancy dining upstairs; pub downstairs. Both are good. Different menu up and down; upstairs in the main restaurant you might want a reservation if you're coming on Friday or Saturday night, when it gets a bit crowded. If the weather's nice, both pub and restaurant have outside dining.A little noisy on weekends.Great location, right next to the park and the covered bridge.

Enjoyed our valentines dinner here. Cocktails were delicious and had a great Pinot noir. Restaurant was cozy and nice and our server was sweet. Did have an issue of raw lobster but steak was delicious and I love the outside crust they do. Bananas foster bread pudding was delicious!

The best meal I've had in a very long time. We lucked into a first-row parking spot. Though we had a reservation, we had to wait about 15 minutes for our table. Once we were seated in the dining room, Kevin took great care of us. The wine list is extensive and has plenty of variety. They also have a number of beers (including non-alcoholic), as well as cocktails and mocktails. The dining room is spacious with plenty of windows and charming, rustic decor. For my meal I ordered the filet with grilled mushrooms and onions, along with the cheddar grits and green beans. Every bite was sublime. I've definitely found my new favorite steak spot. For dessert I had the butter cake which was rich and gooey and just perfect. I can't wait to come back.

Loved the decor and mood inside. Super cozy. My friend and I came on a Friday night and got lucky to get two seats at the bar. I would definitely recommend getting a reservation. Not on the menu, but we asked the bartender to make two NY Whiskey Sours. Warm bread was served. We shared the wedge salad that was good. I got the salmon that was cooked perfectly. My friend got the Paprikash and she really enjoyed it. Staff was all very nice. Can't wait to come back and bring my husband.

The food and the service were very good. Their Caesar salad, baked potato and filet mignon were perfect. I want to bring everyone here who comes and visits to show them how great the food is. This place seems to have a lot of regulars and it's always packed so make your reservations.

What a fabulous experience. We celebrated my wife's birthday and the staff was amazing!

The restaurant is really cute. They completely remodeled the old library to an adorable restaurant with two different patios. The upstairs is a little more upscale dining and the downstairs is more casual with a separate menu. We ate upstairs so I'll post that menu (though they did say the menu may change.) the food was all really good and the service was excellent. Parking is a major problem they'll need to figure out! The view is really nice inside and out.

Had a wonderful time this evening celebrating our anniversary. Talia , our server, was exceptional. We had some wine and calamari and it was delicious. My wife had the paprikas and pierogi and she loved itI had the 12oz steak and it was good but just a little crisp and medium rare. I asked for medium. The green beans were great.A house salad isn't considered a side so I couldn't get that. That's weird as it's the same cost as the baked potatoes and other sides. We got the tiramisu and it was wonderful The ambiance was great We will go again for sure. Thanks for a great evening .
