Parking is easy. Service is outstanding (in my experience). Food is super delicious. Coffee is good and hot. They support and showcase local artists, so the restaurant is filled with interesting and buyable pieces. Fun to look at. It can feel a tad noisy, but it's not deal-breaker level by any means. Prices are very reasonable; portions are great. If you're in Cleveland, dining here is definitely a no-brainer. Go and enjoy!

4 minute drive from MetroHealth Main Campus, so a perfect post-doc visit spot. I remember loving this place a few years back and was super excited to try it again. The place is super cozy and gives off a really homey vibe. They have a big adjoining parking lot, so parking isn't a problem, even though they are usually pretty busy. We were seated quickly and service was great. Got coffee and water right away and ordered within like 5 minutes. I remember really enjoying a pancake the last time I was there, so I was excited to get another one. I couldn't remember the flavor, but remembered it was something seasonal. This time I got the cinnamon roll pancake and was pretty disappointed. It wasn't sweet and was kind of cold. I think they may make their pancakes with cornmeal or something more cake-like. Whatever it is, it wasn't very good or fluffy like most others. I got the egg skillet with tomatoes, mushrooms, and spinach. The veggies that comes with it were broccoli, carrots, and red cabbage all mixed together. Nothing that I would typically put in a breakfast bowl, so I swapped them out for the other veggies that the server mentioned and was a little surprised to be charged .50 for each. I also got an order of turkey sausage which I thought would be an additional $1 from the way it was listed on the menu, but it was $5. The bowl was really tasty and their cajun home fries are delicious. My mom got the biscuits and gravy, which were just fine. There wasn't much sausage meat in the gravy and it was a bit thick IMO. The biscuit was also just okay. I don't think we'd try that again, but would return for another good breakfast in a cozy spot. The waffles looked amazing. I'll definitely get that next time, instead of the pancake.

i almost dont feel like i should post a review; those who know flock to this Cleveland original incessantly, those who dont, well...you can just stop by a "First Watch".Real Good food, made delicious because they know what they're doing; son & I got a few "brunch" items you can never go wrong with here; eggs Benedict, homemade hash, Breakfast Burrito . The Ambiance is true Cleveland, a melting pot & cross section of anyone & everyone who bothers to go out for brunch... The service could be slow, on a busy Sunday morning, but it wasn't ! Excellent, friendly, and attentive , our waitress was fantastic.Hot Tip: check out the seasonal offerings, they dont disappoint !

We were in town for the weekend and saw a few places we wanted to try and I am glad they weren't open because we stumbled upon this place. It was very popular. Its a small eclectic artsy place. They serve breakfast and lunch with some different but favorite options. They also sell art on the walls. We tried a breakfast sandwich and the skillet. Both had great flavor ad full portions. I wish we had room to try more but this just means we will have to come back. The french toast looked tasty as did the omelets and bowls. It felt like a good neighborhood spot.

This place gives classic diner vibes and has a great breakfast to match. The pancakes were my favorite and I don't usually care for restaurant pancakes. They have a parking lot. Service was friendly and fast. We really had a nice time!

Found this little gem while visiting the area a few months back. The decor is very unique and looked like it was a favorite for the locals. We met friends while we were on a mini Dave Matthews Band Tour that ended with us meeting up at the Rock en Roll Hall of Fame and the Christmas Story house. We didn't realize some places close for a few hours between lunch and dinner but found Grumpy was thankfully open. We had a nice lunch before heading back home to Buffalo and them to Pittsburgh. Hope to return some day!

Was visiting some friends in Ohio and everyone said that Grumpy's was a must try! It was pretty busy as we arrived and my mouth was wateringgg in anticipation of an amazing meal. Unfortunately, I was left quite disappointed by the experience. Our food took a very long time to come out, around an hour from seating to entrees being presented. The server noted that they had recently started taking Uber Eats/Doordash orders and the growing pains were apparent. Once our food did come it was cold and just left a lot to be desired. Not the greatest first impression of what I'm sure is an amazing restaurant! I'm excited to try Grumpy's again after they work out some of these kinks. Despite the challenges, one of the clear highlights was the service. You really can't ask for more than that Midwest hospitality!

Great all American breakfast dinner. Very affordable with all your traditional breakfast options. Staff and service were great. It is a small restaurant. They accommodated our party of 7 but it was tight. Also it is very warm in the restaurant (it was 90 degree out). Not sure if they had AC. Another bonus is that the restaurant has a parking lot beside it that is free to customers.

Grumpy's Cafe is overhyped, in my opinion, and I'm sorry. It has a public-paid parking lot. A party of 5 waited for 45 minutes. They do a text message. The inside is jam-packed, with not much room for guests to move around. Tables are placed together, so conversations are difficult, and it's loud. The menu is vast, so there is pretty much something for everyone. Breakfast seems to be what they are best known for. Everyone in my party ordered breakfast; they all said it was standard country-type breakfast. I was the outlier and ordered Grumpy's Meatloaf from the bowl area of the menu. The meatloaf was served on a plate with mashed potatoes and covered with brown gravy. The meatloaf itself was very rosemary-heavy. The coffee is served hot and fresh, but it's standard and nothing exciting. If you go here, your best bet is to order the breakfast unless you love rosemary-flavored meatloaf covered in brown gravy served in a loud restaurant.
