Ground Round Grill & Bar

I have to admit being a fan of the old Ground Round chain vividly remembering the piles of peanut shells on the floor and a very basic burger and fries menu that more than satisfied my teenage cravings.Well, according to reports they're mounting a comeback hoping nostalgia for a comfort menu with a beer chaser will stick the landing. My inner sixteen y/o self hopes they make it but the realist in me suspects there's a glut of fast casual joints and daunting economic headwinds to climb over. Five optimistic stars.

Staff was friendly. I had the French onion soup and the buffalo chicken salad. Both were good. I asked the waiter for a variety of their buffalo sauce. He did provide a good size side of those with a $.99 up charge for each.The only significant issue was the water tasted like it had a cleaning agent in it like bleach.

Convenient place among chain hotels. Clean, modern style. Service was professional. Food was fine. Main reason for reviewing is that the fajita special was like $6 off, making it a really good value. Not sure if they often have great specials like that, but the large menu was reasonably priced.

We stayed at the Holiday Inn with this restaurant attached. I had the fajitas trios and a margarita my wife had the bacon Mac and cheese with chicken. OMG everything was delicious. Margarita was top shelf and we split desert. Definitely a good choice and we'll be back.

Ate here during a business trip to Cleveland. The restaurant is located within the Holiday Inn Perrysburg so very convenient. Good food good service.

What a great stop. This place is a hidden gem, placed off the beaten path in the Holiday Inn. Bright clean and lots of seating options. The service was great and quick. The place wasn't super busy for a Saturday night which made it good for quick seating and service. All the staff was working with patrons or cleaning. The place is bright and clean. The food was plentiful and great tasting. If we came back through this would be a stop for us to make. Also nice to get away from some of the commercial food on the main strip.

Just finished a surprisingly great breakfast at the Ground Round in the holiday inn.Not free with the stay but the food was very tasty and they bring more than you order.My omelet was perfect. My wife's eggs and potatoes and bacon was great.They also brought me the whole pot of coffee. Nice.Only down side is a bit slow on the service, but very friendly. So it's perfect if you're not in a hurry. Not do great if you're in a rush.

We ate here on opening night. The food was great. Husband ordered a long island and it was absolutely huge and he said very good. We also started off the night with the nacho app. My only complaint on it is they needed to give you more of the sauce for it. Other than that, it was very good. I ordered the trio fajitas so I could try all three meats with it. Good. The flavor was great but it needed a sauce or something to spice it up. Husband ordered steak which was cooked to his temp perfectly. The steak quality itself was fine but he stated the mashed potatoes were fantastic. And lastly, the dessert. We ordered the trio and OMG The brownies and the fried oreos were absolutely killer. Best dessert I have had in a long time. Couple the great food with the fact that its right by our house, we will def be going back regularly.

Nice restaurant. It's located in a hotel. Not busy. Staff is courteous. Food is good and priced well.

I used to go to The Ground Round years ago and loved it. However they closed and I didn't think there were any around anymore, until we heard of the one in Perrysburg. It's not like the ones from the '70s and 80's but they still have fantastic burgers. We went on a Tuesday night with another couple because they had a buy one burger get one free special. We all loved our burgers. My only complaint was the atmosphere is not conducive to a date night. Bright lights and no ambiance. There were a couple families there so it's perfect for them. Our waitress was very friendly, too.
