We tried this newer restaurant on a weeknight. The restaurant itself was not busy but they had some people at the bar and some tables filled. They have a lot of different items on the menu making it difficult to decide. My daughter got the gridiron burger which she said was really good. I had the brined half chicken with a brown butter gravy. It was served with root vegetables and fingerling potato hash. The chicken was good except the breast portion was extremely small like they must use most of the breast in another dish. I definitely was missing part of the breast. I don't eat the leg or thigh so my protein intake was small. The root vegetables and potato hash was good. My sister had the house salad with shrimp. She enjoyed it. Right now on Thursdays, kids eat free so my grandson had the grilled chicken sandwich. The sandwich was a good size, I wish they offered an adult version.Service was good and attentive. They have some big screen tv's for viewing all the sporting events. It's a nice place, I'll be back.

Go into "Gridiron Gastro Pub" to watch football and eat wings....have to spell it, cause I am not able to "tag it", too new I am guessing...Sit down at bar, try to order wings;Bartender: Sorry, we are still on brunch menu(it's 1:20pm) dinner menu starts at 2pmMe: ok, I guess I will try the crab cakes, order wings at 2pm2pm comes alongMe: Hey, its 2:01, want to order wings nowBartender: Oh we dont have wings on the menu, we dont serve them hereMe: YOU SAID I HAD TO WAIT TILL 2???Bartender; never said we had wingsMe: What kind of sports bar does not have wings?Bartender: we are not a sportsbar, we are a Gastro PubMe: The name of the place is "Gridiron", you are located in the heart of the Pro Football Hall of Fame Village, how are you NOT a sports bar?Bartender: (blank stare)Me: Do you know where the term "gridiron" originates?Bartender: no ideaAt this point my head is going to explode....as I explain "GRIDIRON IS A FOOTBALL FIELD, HOW IS THIS NOT A SPORTS BAR???Nothing but blank stares from there....SO! The crab cakes....ok, needs more saucebecause wings were non existent, Ended up ordering "burnt ends"....they were not burnt, they were dehydrated beef jerky chunks that were re-hydrated with chicken stock- tasted good, but was not what I wanted...which was closer to re-hydrated pork buttand to finish(bartenders, hold your breath) I asked for Jaeger- THEY DO NOT CARRY JAEGER, so, "how about Crown Apple"? Oh yes, we have Crown Apple....Me: gimme shot crown apple straight up then the checkBartender: Ok, did you want that chilled or on the rocks?Me: (in my head-MOTHER FUCKER!) verbally my response was "no, I want it straight upBartender: (blank stare)Me: just pour the shot in a glass and serve it to meI have to add, NOT ONCE was I checked on- not once did either bartender say"you ok?, need anything?" - and the place was dead, like it has been, every single time i go in thereI tipped $20 on a $40 tab, because I promised to tip well if they put my game on the main screenMy only good experience was talking to the manager "Hunter", who put the game on the main screen for me, served me, and talked to me for awhile...Hunter graduated high school in 2014...hes the manager....see where I am going with that?

We had the pleasure of eating at Gridiron Gastropub during their soft opening. We started with the sweet potato pierogies and the caramelized onion and apple were the perfect addition to the dish!My son had the grilled chicken sandwich with fries and the serving was so generous, there was enough for all of us to share. For our entrees, my husband and I got the braised short rib and Coulotte filet. Everything was cooked perfectly and delicious! We took a piece of the chocolate pretzel cake home and the cake was moist and airy!Jenny was our server and she was excellent! Very quick and attentive since she knew we had to eat quickly with a little one.

Probably more like a three and a half, but I'm rounding up. We started with the pork belly burnt ends. When I think of pork belly, I think of tender, melt-in-mouth, fatty pieces of heaven. These were not really that; they were "just okay". They were tougher than I expected and the sauce on them was a little sweet for my taste. Not terrible, but not exactly what we expected. I had the lunch portion of the spinach salad. It was pretty good and a decent size. My son had the child's spaghetti which was a generous portion and they were kind enough to bring more sauce. Service was very friendly. The lunch menu was limited. It was clean in there and not super busy. It didn't look too much different from when it was still Don Shula's. It was about 50 bucks before the tip for a kid's meal and two adults who each had small salads (no protein added to the salads) and then that pork belly appetizer. I'm not sure if that's a great value or not, but there were decent portions and my son loved his spaghetti, so that's great. I do think the Don Shula's menu was a bit better, but I'd be willing to come back and give this place another try for dinner.

It is a very nice bar and very well themed.., I thought our server/bartender was amazing. She was very knowledgeable about our drinks and what the offerings were but overall, I thought it was very overpriced. I did enjoy the Korean beef sliders.

Excellent food and service! The Beef Short Rib Ragu was amazing!! The garlic bread served with it had a great blend of flavors, not an overpowering garlic taste. My husband had the Vanilla Bean Rum ice cream from Taggarts for dessert. It tasted rich and flavorful! A great balance of rum & vanilla bean. I had the cheesecake topped with cherry almond. It also was delicious. Loved the TV set up with the bar in the middle. We could easily see the games on TV. DEFINITELY a new FAVORITE spot!!!!

A great transition from the restaurant concept that was formerly at this location. The menu has a wide variety of excellent options from starters through dessert, and a fantastic specialty cocktail menu. Also, great service performed by staff that is knowledgeable about the menu and its offerings. Family friendly but still feels like an upscale experience. The pricing is very affordable especially for the portions.

Gave it a try last night and was not disappointed. Attentive service, food was spot on, and not crazy expensive. I had pork shank with pierogies. Top notch. My wife went with a steak. Cooked perfectly medium rare. Mashed potatoes were creamy. Had bread pudding for dessert. Perfect for the 2 of us. We'll be back. Gotta say though. We miss the banana French toast sundae that Don Shula's offered. Maybe they'll restore it to the menu.
