Great Harvest Bread Company

Great Harvest used to have stores in the Buffalo area, but they closed a while ago. We still had gift cards for Great Harvest and decided on our way back from Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to stop at their Mentor, Ohio store. What a great visit that was! It started with a nice welcome at the moment we entered and were offered a taster right away. Generous tasters, not just a little piece of bread, but a whole slice! I tried the Cheddar Garlic and I loved it. Real garlicky with big pieces of cheddar in it.Needless to say we left with a variety of different breads: cinnamon chip, challah (unfortunately they had not sweet ones with raisins) and the garlic cheddar.

How has it taken me this long to stop in to this establishment when I drive past it 2-3 times a week! Ordered the hot spicy Turkey sandwich plus an order of pepperoni bread to go. Sandwich was delicious and the pepperoni bread was the best I've ever had. So soft and fresh. We will become regulars!

This a wonderful place. The company used the have stores in the Buffalo area, but all of them closed several years ago.I have bought bread from their outlet in Pittsburgh (by mail order) and at a store in Charlotte, NC. The bread was great, but the experience at the Charlotte store was terrible, and because of that experience, I called the corporate headquarters. The woman I spoke to there told me about the store in Mentor, Ohio, how it is a family run business.I contacted this store several times before my trip to Cleveland, even getting directions to get to the Mentor store.I was only disappointed that Molly, the woman with whom I had been in contact was not working today as I wanted to meet her and thank her personally for her help.We were waited on by Molly's aunt. She could not have been nicer, bagging up my loaves of bread, telling us to double bag any of the loaves we plan to freeze.It is disappointing that the company has raised the loyalty point level as I anticipated getting another loaf at 100 loyalty points. No one seemed to know the new level needed.I bought challah, cinnamon crunch and cheddar garlic loaves. I used to buy the challahs when the stores were in Buffalo, so know how wonderful it is. We tasted the cheddar garlic and were seduced by it. The cinnamon crunch just looks wonderful, with a nice crunchy outside.This stop in Mentor was well worth the short detour.

I still love this place. They have the best gluten-free bread I have ever had. A whole wheat with seeds in it and high-fiber that is delicious. They also have your typical white and wheat plain. They also offer a cinnamon chip white bread gluten-free that's great for French toast. They have other different gluten-free pastries depending on the weekend season such as gluten-free carrot cake, gluten-free lemon bars, gluten-free different flavored scones, gluten-free biscotti etc.

Hello awesome bread! I literally can NOT go a week without popping in! Even their "white bread" is flipping amazing!

Fantastic bread, cookies, smells so good inside, fresh and every one is so nice and helpful.

we have gone here a few times expensive bread but this may be the last time we go. First off they didn't have any pesto bread and the cheddar garlic bread had no cheese in it like it use to kinda disappointed for the price we paid

Wide selection of breads and bakery items, and made to order sandwiches. The pepperoni rolls are excellent. Samples of the breads are offered as well. If you're looking for a great bakery, this is your place.

The gluten free bread is moist and is the best I ever had! Highly recommend. Pepperoni roll is good too!

Great bread here! I would love to see smaller loaves for we empty nesters. Either way I will be back over and over.
