I'm at an age where I like when bars are quiet and not packed with people (#old), so it's great that we got to check out Good Night John Boy on a Saturday afternoon with only a few other visitors. The space is fun and there's lots to see - the bartender described it as Studio 54 in your grandma's basement, which is spot on. The retro couches and memorabilia next to a giant disco ball and lighted floor plus the Farrah Fawcett wall make for a fun atmosphere. The drinks are also appropriately retro, including all sizes of Miller High Life offered including a 40. I went with the mood ring martini, which comes with a random puff of cotton candy that is mixed in, turning your drink one of six colors to show your "mood." Mine was pink and the glitter is so fun. At $17 I definitely don't need to try it again, but it was fun to experience. The bartender was very friendly and chatted with us and made us feel welcome. She said they get super packed, like shoulder to shoulder with a line out the door packed, so if that's your jam and you're looking to dance, add Good Night John Boy to your list.

If you like to dance with loud music and a club atmosphere, this is the place for you. I visited during a charity bar crawl with friends. My favorite thing about Good Night John Boy is, not only the cool dance floor, but the fact that they serve 40oz beers, glass bottle and all! A little nostalgia for us eighties babies. The bartenders are always fun and professional, they do a great job. Always a fun night!

Decent downtown bar. Bouncers are pretty rude and the bar is past shoulder to shoulder. Music was above average. If you like sardined bars it's a good one for you but it's a little too tight.

Darty time !! Daytime Party !! Great opportunity to see this awesome 70s party place! The staff was fun and amazing. The attention to 70s details was really good. There was the the floor that every kitchen in the seventies had, the plaid burlappy material couches, disco dance floor, the iconic Farrah Fawcet poster. Beads in the doorway, shag carpets. The music was fun and great atmosphere for a Saturday afternoon Darty!!! Day drinking. whoohooo with a DD!!!Definitely coming back !!!

I like how consistent this place is. It is a 70s themed bar/dance club that plays hits from then and now. The bouncers are fair and the bartenders keep drinks flowing. Prices for drinks are $8-15. The dance floor lights up and everyone is there to dance! This place is for ALL ages, from 21-81.

Good Night John Boy is FUN. My friend and I were grabbing dinner nearby and we heard music blaring, and naturally were enticed. This is a popular place, and we decided to pop in and check it out before the mad rush of the late Saturday night crowd came in (if you come here later in the evening, there almost certainly will be a line outside to get in).Cleveland is so, so void on having places we can go to dance. Good Night John Boy has a fun Studio 54 inspired vibe with a light-up dance floor, a disco ball and a huge portrait of Farrah Fawcett. We just ordered one drink and danced. The DJ was great, everyone on the dance floor was really into it, and we decided we want to get dressed up in our best sequins and come back another time. Coming in the early evening was the right move for us as gals who just wanted to have fun but not get drunk with the late night crowd. I'm really excited to come back!

I came to Good Night John Boy while hopping around the flats. I ordered a vodka redbull and was charged $20! After paying, I asked the bartender if she poured me a double (which I would be fine paying $20 for a double shot and redbull), she informed me that it was only a single shot of Tito's and a redbull pour....I am a bartender and for a shot of Tito's at my bar we charge $6 for a single and $12 for a double. She informed me that they charge $12 for the single shot of Tito's and $5 for the pour of redbull separately. I later checked their menu and it shows that they only charge $4 for a FULL Red Bull and I was given a combined mixture of 2 that had been sitting out for who knows how long. I love the vibes here and have had great times at this bar in the past but I am reluctant to return after these steep charges and being up charged for no reason in general. I understand that a night out can be expensive...but this is a bit absurd. Long story short, do not waste your money on a vodka redbull here! Go for a fun cocktail on their menu that is cheaper and probably better tasting.

For some reason I was told they stopped serving cocktails at 10pm on a Saturday. Maybe you should update your website with this information.

Bunch of crooks. As a Cleveland local, I get roped into coming here. On separate occasions, they've added more to their tip than I signed off for, and swiped my card multiple times for the same order.Owners also couldn't care less about feedback. Ice machine has mold!
