Ambience: this place is nice with a good ambience and decoration. Nice seating.Service: The service was good and food came pretty fast.Food: overall pretty happy with the food I had. Everyone seemed to enjoy their food.- Hamachi Carpaccio: I really enjoyed it. Generous pieces of hamachi with a nice light sauce. Definitely recommend it.- Goma roll: good selection of fish in one roll. It's wrapped with cucumber & has lettuce. I personally prefer rice rolls but it was good.- Sake Sashimi: really good pieces of salmon, loved it!- Spicy tuna roll: I didn't care for it but others liked it.

Got the tuna crispy rice and the Zen roll. The Zen roll was my favorite of the night, very fresh ingredients. Tuna crispy rice was a tad fishy, and not worth the $22. The pieces were smaller. My friend got the tempura green beans and eggplant for the table, the sauce was veryyyyy salty. I would've asked for it on the side. My friend got the crab rangoon and mentioned it was fishy tasting as well. My other friend got the tuna roll and there seemed to be a lotttt of wasabi in it that shouldn't have been? Other than the food, the service was good and I loved the ambiance. Not very impressed at all! Much rather spend more at Ginko, their sister restaurant.

I never imagined finding great Asian fusion and sushi in downtown Cleveland, but I most certainly did on a weekend business trip!Located in the heart of the vibrant Fourth Street business district, Goma was a quality combination of delicious food, a terrific setting, and wonderful customer service. They describe themselves as a Modern Asian Sushi restaurant. Loved our downstairs room that allowed for candid discussion among fellow Board members. Next time, I'll likely sit by the 28-seat sushi bar. Enjoyed my edamame appetizer, then loved my Miso Ramen main course. Both were prepared wonderfully! Delicious. The Miso Ramen had seven ingredients that meshed so well. Also had a piece of Nigiri sushi that was tremendous.

I know, sushi in Cleveland but after a couple of days at a conference I had a hankering. This location has an excellent vibe. On the end of a row of restaurant and pub. Indoor/outdoor option. Very friendly staff. So I ordered warm saki of course, tuna tartar and roe sushi (salmon eggs). I don't think I've ever seen sushi sold by the piece but it was good. The tuna tartar was interesting. I think the side sauce may have been mayonnaise based? Not sure. Definitely a different take on this appetizers! Perhaps next time I'll stick to the sushi. Also, first time I've seen separate lines to tip the chef and an additional tip beyond the already included 18% Total came to $52.92.

Let me preface this review by saying I'm a huge sushi fan. I've eaten my way through traditional nigiri, experimented with wacky fusion rolls, and even braved the occasional blowfish (gulp!). So, when I discovered Goma via Yelp, a Japanese fusion concept by the acclaimed Chef Dante Boccuzzi, i had to try. The Ambiance is sleek and sophisticated. Think dim lighting, plush booths, and a bar stocked with enticing Asian-inspired cocktails. The vibe is definitely date night or special occasion material.I found the wait staff to be attentive and helpful. The sushi chef are to rock stars here. I sat at the sushi bar and asked if I could eat Omakase style. I could see a smile of joy take over the sushi chef behind the bar. What followed is a stream of eye catching presentation of mini masterpieces of delectable creations. See the attached pictures. These are not all on the menu since Omakase style is leaving it up to the chef. Goma definitely thrilled me beyond the moon with my first visit. If you are a courageous sushi fan with discriminating taste bud, you can't go wrong doing Omakase style dining at Goma. Goma is an experience, not just a meal. The food is beautifully presented and undeniably creative. However, the fusion elements might not be for everyone. If you're a purist who craves classic sushi, you might be left wanting. But if you're adventurous and open to trying something new, Goma is definitely worth a visit. Just be prepared for a flavor explosion - and here you get high quality fur the proportional price tag.

Huge sushi fan here! Was excited to try this spot. Located in a very bustling area by the stadium. They have nice indoor and outdoor seating with a great bar set up. Prices were reasonable. Good sized menu with both ramen and wok fried options. We got a variety of sashimi and sushi and it was pretty good! Honestly their wok fried pork belly yakisoba was my favorite. Service was prompt and we had a good time here!

Food was absolutely spectacular. My wife and I got the calamari/shrimp app. It was presented beautifully and had this tasty little mushrooms in it for some savory. We got a maki role which was delightful, and and pressed sushi with pork belly and salmon that we're craving again 3 hours after eating it. Ended with some tempura brownies. Service was top tier and the environment inside the room was sophisticated, but casual. Would HIGHLY recommend.

Best sushi in the Cleveland area hands down. Ask Lee the sushi chef for recommendations to suit your taste. The seafood is always so fresh and the flavor accouterments are spot on. The fatty tuna is one of my favorites and the soft shell crab was cooked to perfection. Definitely try the mushroom salad with ginger dressing it's so flavorful. Definitely my favorite sushi spot in Cleveland. There is a wide selection of sushi and it's never disappointed yet.

First time trying Goma, we've been hearing good things about it and the sushi/sashimi did not disappoint. We loved all the sushi pieces, fresh with a hint of sweetness from the sashimi! However, the Shabi shabu was such a huge disappointment. It came out in a pot with just water, once it's boiling it's expected to add the veggies (which consist of just carrot slices and baby boy Choy and a bit of napa cabbage) and beef slides. The broth had No seasoning whatsoever. There's dipping sauce on the side but it's tasted just like soy sauce and sesame paste. It was a huge disappointment. We should have stuck with the sushi which is what they're know for. We also tried the ube colada, it's decent. The service was great. Overall experience was pleasant.
