Stopped in after all day in cedar point and got 4 sundaes. All were great. I suggest peanut butter sauce. Buckeye something.

This place is an adorable family style restaurant! We have only ever gotten ice cream, but its great! The people are kind, and they have so much variety for their ice creams, malts, sundaes, etc! They even have dole whip! My only complaint is the menu for the drive-thru is a slide show on a screen, so it is difficult to see/read the menu!

Oh, Golly Gee, I love you. This is my hometown. Right here. It's not fancy. It's not big. But it's good and those that live here know it. I have been to Golly Gee at least once a summer since I was riding in car seats. It's all about the soft-serve here for me. I used to vary it. Different flavors (vanilla and orange sherbet twist, mint, chocolate) Toppings (sprinkles, chocolate dip) Sometimes sundaes, flurries (Golly Gee's version of a Blizzard). But now since I know I won't be here much, it's a medium vanilla/chocolate twist cone. And it's still oh so good. (FYI: the ice cream is supplied by Toft's) My sister's childhood fave was the dusty road sundae, chocolate ice cream, chocolate syrup with malt mix poured on top. Once, my mom had them make a special gift certificate book for dusty road sundaes as a birthday present. As a kid we just got ice cream, but Golly Gee also has food. The standard drive-in food---cheeseburgers, corndogs, onion rings, etc. Made to order and tasty---this is not a health food joint and thank goodness! When I was little, you had to park and go into the little "porch" to order. I remember reaching through the little windows for my treats. Later, they added a drive-thru window which makes it easy to stay on the move, but you'll still see locals sitting on picnic tables enjoying their treats.Golly Gee is, and always will be, Sandusky to me.

My hometown has a similar place. It is an old style soft serve ice cream place. It's great ice cream, with a local touch. This place seems like it's been around forever. I got their cookie dough flurry. (Their version of DQ's Blizzard). It was loaded with cookie dough, and they made it with chocolate ice cream like I wanted. This place is small, but the staff was friendly. There really doesn't seem to be all that many places to choose from in this part of town. I'm visiting Cedar Point and wanted to get some local ice cream. Yum, yum! It hit the spot. Great place. They only accept cash, btw.

Milk shakes. Very thin, like water, no flavor. Known by locals for higher prices, smaller portions, cheap on ingrediants. Won't go there again.

The best milk shakes. Old owners ran it down and skipped on flavoring. Portion sizes got smaller. Building run down. New oner is young, ambitious, super nice guy. He has remodeled, painted. Really brightened up the building. The milk shakes now are top quality, delicious. Yepper! My favorite place to go.Try a root beer milk shake. They are thick, cold, and delicious.Thank you Chevy.

Customer service is HORRIBLE since management changed from Dan/Michelle to Chevy. My family and I went in tonight for ice cream and the four employees inside were incredibly rude. We waited to be served despite being the only customers both in the drive thru and lobby as the employees sat on their phones and made jokes amongst each other. When we were greeted by an employee and started sharing our orders, the employee at the window mentioned that they were "extremely confused" and then left the window. One of the other employees started screaming at this employee but did not help us. We then waited again while employees sat on their phones and talked amongst each other. The next employee to help us came to the window, opened it, said nothing and closed the window, and then began talking to her coworkers. Only one of two orders was fulfilled as the employees acted dumbfounded when we asked for orange dole whip. The ice cream we did get was used as a toy when the employee serving us pretended to flip the ice cream on her coworkers head more than once while it made its way from the machine to the window. As a former employee under Dan and Michelle and someone who grew up coming to Golly Gee, I am extremely disappointed and will NOT be coming back.
