This Giant Eagle anchors the Hartville Centre shopping center which is also home to several restaurants, the US Post Office, a couple of banks, a gas station and a good number of other service and retail businesses. The shopping center is mostly full but there are a few empty spaces. There is a very large private parking lot which is always in good repair and somehow remains mostly free of debris. Parking is never a problem here. Giant Eagle is a modern full service supermarket, it's always very clean and organized with an intuitive layout and spacious aisles which affords customers a good shopping experience. Employees are always polite, friendly and professional. They are also knowledgeable about the store and able to answer most of your questions. They're pretty efficient so you can generally get into and out of the store pretty quickly. This Giant Eagle carries most everything you expect to find in today's supermarkets. Displays are attractive and the quality of their items carried be they fresh, frozen, canned or dry goods, etc... is top notch. They have a good mix of national brands with many local items as well. Prices tend to be slightly above average but you know you are getting quality goods in a comfortable shopping environment. I grew up in the area and my parents still live in Hartville. Every time I'm back home visiting my mother is always saying something about running to Giant Eagle to pick up this or that item. There are less expensive supermarkets nearby but she knows she's going to easily find what she wants here and not have to spend a lot of time doing it.

I am a cancer patient, Stage 3 and my doctor changed my script whIle out of town. We called 3 pharmacies and all said they couldn't get my medication for several days. Kristin, Giant Eagle, pharmacist, had it available the next morning. She went the extra mile to take care of me at a cheaper price than the hometown pharmacy.,,and my treatment didn't skip a beat. Kristin is an AMAZING pharmacist. Denise from SC

Went here tonight for some groceries. Bread area was picked over as was fresh produce (tomatoes) but most everything else was still stocked. Cleanliness was not an issue and there were some good specials around the store. As we were checking out, we were being helped by a nice young gal that was new and she had a question about something so she asked whoever was overseeing self checkout about it. We were less than pleased with the demeaning attitude that the supervisor or whatever she was had with this young lady. We certainly appreciated her efforts and being there for us despite covid 19. I think it's critical that management of this store passes down to all employees that treating each other with kindness comes first and does not go unseen.

Locals still refer to this as the "IGA" even though it switched to a Giant Eagle years ago. This is a medium-sized corporate-owned store with a GetGo Gas Station in the parking lot. They have an in-store bakery, deli, large produce department, with a fish and meat counter. The floral department is one small cooler. There is a photo processing machine and an in-store bank (Huntington). No video department (although two Red-Box machines are outside). The rotisserie chickens are a dollar more than the Springfield Giant Eagle, and of, course, no alcohol, beer, or wine due to village regulations.Friendly staff who will get to know you if you come here frequently.

This is a pricier grocery store than the marc's nearby but is conveinent located in an isolated plaza with a huge parking lot which it dominates with its gas station next to it. Inside it has a in house bakery, and deli which are good quality though more on the expensive side. They also have a very large range of products and plenty of cashier lanes including self checkout which keeps the lines down.

A really nice grocery store but their prices are a bit high. I rarely shop here because of the prices, but If you're looking for a grocery store with the best selection of products in Hartville, then this is the place to go.

The Hartville location has really gone down The cashier that waited on me was rude and seemed hurried by ringing up my groceries. barely even acknowledged me, just started ringing out my items. He had the name "Speedy" on his name tag.

The more-expensive alternative to Marc's in Hartville. Marc's doesn't have everything, so GE is more of a filler for us, as the selection is more complete. They have a good allergen-free and natural section. Produce is ok, bakery is good. And they are open until midnight. And there's a RedBox here, and Lucky Star just down the sidewalk. Fuel Perks are a bonus, too!Actually, the IGA was originally located on the corner of Prospect and Washington (now a multi-residence). It outgrew the house and moved down the street (at the bend of Washington and Bell (now a day care). Finally moved to the old plaza where Marc's is now. The owners then built the newer plaza across the street, with the G.E. as the foundation store. Talk to the old people living around the area - lots of history in Hartville!

not enough selection, need to expand. certainly not keeping up with the other Giant Eagles. If it were not the only full service grocery store in Hartville they would be in real trouble. Just called wanting natures basket hamburger, they are all out AGAIN.poor management
