Front Door Tavern

We visited the front door yesterday. (3 golfers) because of its incredible yelp score,It's a typical neighborhood bar with a friendly atmosphere and a six page menu.I ordered the 3/4 lb bacon burger and the others enjoyed smothered hot sausage sandwiches.The meals were perfect, the service was quite good. This is a true gem that you might drive by because of its size and unpaved lot. But if you like bar food / this place sets the bar.We all agree that we will be back.

Ordered takeout online tonight, after reading all the great reviews about the burgers. I ordered a build your own burger and my partner ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. The spicy chicken sandwich was kind of strange, it had grilled chicken, bacon, cheese, mushrooms, and a ranch and hot sauce mix on bread that looked like it had been soaked in butter for many hours before it was assembled. The hot sauce was more of a sweet chili sauce, hot, but not what you'd expect from a spicy chicken sandwich. The bread really ruined it for him, it was just way too oily.I had very high hopes for my burger, after reading all the reviews and looking at their website. When I got the burger, the bun was the same way as the chicken sandwich was, soaked in oil and just overwhelming to the sandwich itself. I ordered my burger with lettuce, tomato, pickles, mayo, mustard, and ketchup. I don't know if I missed something on the order screen, or what, but this was the driest burger. I think I've ever had. I was very disappointed and wound up having to throw most of it away. We also ordered the cheese curds, pub, chips, and shrimp appetizer. Those are all pretty good, but the pub chips tasted like the oil that they were cooked in may have been burnt or needed cleaned. For $60, this meal just seemed a waste. Happy Eating. Just not here.

Made a day from Pittsburgh to Columbiana and here. A bit of a struggle to get served. 2 at bar and 2 tables in use at 230 on a Saturday. Took 10 minutes to get initially served. When I asked for just water with lemon they came back with a bottle of water followed by asking if I needed a paper menu. Since they had a QR code I was ready to order so I said "no, I think I'm ready." And they walked away. I waited another 10 minutes before they asked if I was ready to order. Between then, the staff member was texting on phone in the kitchen after taking a phone call order which makes it extra frustrating. Too much as hassle for a dive bar burger. Also a game of wording as it says substitute fries with chips and asked if I'd like to add fries to encourage an extra charge. Just an all around negative experience not worth coming back even though I drive past monthly from columbiana to Pittsburgh. The burger came well donwith no onion rings as I paid extra for on custom menu. They just put on grilled onions. Some of the toppings I asked for on the BYO burger were basically invisible. Felt like a giant money grab not worth the stress of ordering. Didn't even open my water

This is a place that needs a visit by Guy Fieri with Triple D. It may not look like much from the outside, but the food and the staff inside are amazing. Anything I saw coming out of the kitchen looked and smelled delicious. FDT has one of the best fish sandwiches in all of Western Pennsylvania. The wonderfully battered fish is so big it hangs outside the bun. Definitely a place to check out when near Chippewa.

Great dinner with the guys after a round of golf. Having the special - Philly fry basket and a few Coors Light.

Don't hesitate when you pull into the parking lot. This was a great experience, as you would expect from 4.5 stars on Yelp. This is a classic western PA neighborhood bar with talented staff in the kitchen. Food is very good with large portions and a rotating tap selection of at least 12 local/regional choices in nearly any style you can imagine.Staff was friendly and efficient, food was reasonably-priced, and they have plastic curtains between the tables to limit exposure, but doesn't make the place feel closed-in. They also offer all regular sandwiches in Pgh-style (fries and slaw on the sandwich).If you are anywhere close, plug this into your GPS and go.

My husband and I LOVE this place! We go every chance we get. We love the small building, the staff is helpful and the wings are awesome! We've tried several different wing flavors and they have all been fantastic. Our favorite was the hot garlic, and it is HOT. I also can't go and not order the pickle chips. So incredibly good.

The burgers and wraps are consistently excellent, and the draft beer selection is extensive and diverse. Jenna the bartender is delightful and efficient. Doug the bartender is also a barrel of laughs. Every time my wife and I stop in, the place is welcoming and fun. I highly recommend

Made a visit to this place in between baseball games in Chippewa. Wonderful food and awesome service! I agree-this should be on Diners, Drive Ins and Dives!

Great food and a huge menu. Small place so seating is limited. Large parties not recommended. Wings and hotzerella sticks are amazing!!
