Frank's Bratwurst

I love Frank's bratwurst and I've been coming here since my grandmother would bring me as a kid. While going through the Westside market and shopping for various things, I always make it a point to stop at Frank's and get a Brat sandwich with sauerkraut for $4 and a can of Pepsi for $.75, This place has been here since 1970 and the people behind the counter are always friendly. If there's a line, don't worry because the line moves really fast don't forget to tip

Rated the best spot to eat and it did not disappoint. Enjoyed the simple approach to brat, bun, horseradish and sauerkraut, mustard. Service was quick and polite! Really enjoyed walking around in the market.. took me back in time to the early 1900s. Well done!

So simple but so good. Perfectly cooked, juicy, and flavorful brat on a great simple roll with brown mustard, and for only $4, you can't beat it. Love the west side market and all their stands and this place is one of the best, they are very nice and super quick to make your food, and it's great how you can walk right outside and sit on a bench to eat. You can get a hard or soft roll with mustard, ketchup, or sauerkraut. Love how they perfected one simple food to sell, and they perfected it, definitely will be back!

On a recent Sunday bike ride near the West Side Market, we stopped in to see what's cookin'. Not much was cookin', but there were a lot of meal ingredients for sale. One of the few places serving food was Frank's Bratwurst. I asked my son if he wanted a hot dog and I bought him a bratwurst. The brat was really tasty. It would've been nice to have a wider selection of toppings, but it was of good quality and taste nonetheless.

In the words of 15 year old Grace, "Mom you need to go online & give them the best review ever!" So, here it is...Go to the Ohio Market. Get a brat. Enjoy!

Unheralded as in, how the f*** does this legend only have 25 reviews? Are you kidding me Yelp? That's what I mean when I say Yelp doesn't always "get it." If this was the gourmet hipster grilled cheese place (cough Melt cough) it'd have 573 reviews by now. AT LEAST. But Frank's. Oh Frank's. My Frank's. So delicious. So unheralded.And that's what you get from a place named after Frank E Muniz, Frank Ophile, and Frank Salott.In the corner of the world famous and historic Old West Side Market, this little stand is serving up the most delicious bratwurst on rolls that you can imagine. The people giving this place 3 stars or less, I just can't with you. I just can't. 5 star price, 5 star service, and one of the best Brats I've ever had. Don't forget to add sexy spicy mustard to it. It's just soooo good.Still, what do you expect from a place named after Frank Zappa, Frank A Sessment, and Frank N Stein.Perhaps there might be one Brat seller hidden away somewhere in the state of Wisconsin that is superio, but for the most part you will not find a bratwurst that tastes this good. Charcoal Inn South (Sheboygan, WI) is probably my fave, but that's because of the massive fresh dollops of butter they put on there. For the Brat itself, this one is as good as any, and better than the vast majority. If you are in the WSM and not vegetarian, you simply, unequivocally have to try one.Anyway, what else do you expect from a place named after Frank Sinatra, Frank Ocean, and Frank O Phone.They're also filling and dirt cheap, so as I say, if you are in Cleveland you simply must give it a try. I know you will be possibly more drawn to be same hipster stuff that you can find in Williamsburg and San Francisco, but bear with me and come to the West Side Market and try this - along with a lemon sugar crepe from du luxe, and some spicy jerky from czuchraj. And if you like those three life-changing items, hmu and I'll give you a nice list of other life-changing Cleveland eats... and there are many.But what do you expect from a place named after Frank F Urter, Frank Sfornuttin, and Frank Leemadeer. I don't give a damn.

West side market all-time classic vendor!Double check the market is open, I do believe they have closed days, and head on down for a $3 brat or $4 w kraut (preferred option.) served on the perfect hard roll w brown mustard. Just perfect. It's simple it's fast the roll is crusty and fresh. The brat is cooked just right, nice texture. Kraut has fine flavor. They also have a food truck with a couple more options. Slaw was one I've had, good crunchy slaw. Franks II is the next booth and they have sausage sandwiches instead of brat. I've had both and Frankly No pun intended I like one better than the other but I can't recall. It must be the brat I like best bc it was so damn good today I cried. Great time walking the market and also for some Lebanese food at another stall. Bring cash some of them have a credit card min. Enjoy! 5 stars for Franks. The best in #CLE.

This stand is nestled in the heart of west side market. I made a bee line for this joint (esp after the owner kindly responded to me within a day about what type of meat they use. It's 100% pork btw). The hard roll with horseradish, spicy mustard and kraut is key. The brat is very juicy and actually mild flavored. You can eat the whole thing easily without your mouth feeling greasy or belly uncomfortably full. My only comment would be that the casing could be a tad crunchier but really that wouldn't stop me from devouring another one!

$3 for a bratwurst sammie.$4 for a bratwurst sammie and sauerkraut. I wasn't a huge fan of the bread it came on because it got pretty soggy halfway through. But the bratwurst itself was pretty good. And for $4, that's pretty cheap!Tip - don't forget the mustard!

I find it hard not to get a brat to go when I'm here. Hard roll, kraut & brown mustard is hard to beat! it's been 20 years for me & I still enjoy these. They have yellow mustard too. For a quick bite at the WSM or take out, try a Brat. Tou'll be glad you did. The Italian sausage at the other stand is good too. Sauce & peppers - onions !
