Was out East and looking for lunch and came upon Frank & Tony's on Yelp; seemed interesting. F&T is a dive bar just off Erie Street in Willoughby. Found it ok and I did find street parking nearby despite the piles of snow. Outside is nice, once inside the impression is more dive like with a long bar on one side and booths on the other. Lighting is dark and there is plenty of weathered wood. The bartender was covering the whole place, but still did a nice job of being attentive.The menu is fairly typical bar food hamburgers, sandwiches, salads, pizza and such. I figured I would try the Grouper Sandwich. The Grouper is a nice sized fillet with a thick coating that is nice and crispy on a hoagie bun with lettuce and tarter sauce; the potato of the day was thin french fries. The fish was good, but I didn't taste the promised Italian spices, the french fries were crisp and tasty. Overall a nice sandwich, but nothing special.Frank & Tony seems like it would be a good place to hang and have some drinks and maybe grab some food. I was hoping for the food to be a little more exciting, but it was certainly good. A nice alternative in downtown Willoughby if you want to go casual.

Awful. I ordered off Uber Eats and the time frame and driver were fine. Sure, a delivery order is never as good as if you are dining in so I had my expectations managed. However, I wanted to relay the reality of what food from here is like. The quality and attention to detail is lacking from this place and you are better off ordering from a chain.If your idea of good food is Sysco (ready made frozen food that is reheated or fried) than this might be just fine for you. We are on a road trip and after driving for hours ... this was one of the few options opened around 10pm. I looked at Yelp and thought this was going to be ok. I ordered a small white pizza and asked for onions and Italian sausage to be added and willing to pay the up charges (sadly we only got plain cheese) and the fish sandwich tasted really off. Both the fish itself and the wilted lettuce and luke warm tartar sauce and soggy waffle fries.

I love Frank & Tony's. I love their pizza and they have a decent beer selection. It's a great blue collar bar. A place where the music is loud and the atmosphere laid back. What I don't love is the service. It varies on every visit. This time it was more tolerable waiting for our pizza because we ordered some appetizers first. They arrived promptly, about 10 mins after ordering. The pizza arrived about 25 minutes after. Our waitress was very nice and sweet, though the sense of urgency just wasn't there. I feel bad even saying that because I know she meant well. But she needed a bit more pep in her step. Overall folks, if you go to this bar don't expect 5 star service. You will be waiting for your food, but it will be worth it once it arrives. Give this place a chance.

My friends and I used to come here almost every week to grab some brew & grub! We stopped coming so often because of the crowd and food quality.. we took a break and came back, it all seemed to work itself out.They offer beer in a wonton size. You know.. when you order Chinese take out and you get the large wonton? That. Full of your choice of draft. Amazing.Their food prices aren't too bad - very awesome wings & pizza. This time, we decided to try their sandwiches. The Ruben & philly steak.Both were huge and stuffed full of meat. The philly had fresh mushrooms & onions on it. Not the canned stuff. The waffle fries was the perfect side..Service was good, we got our drinks and food fairly quick! We need to make it a point to come more often.

I have always had an enjoyable meal and time here when back in Mentor. I had a great pretzel last visit that I shared with a very drunk woman. That great staff got her home safely and didn't serve her. Balance is amazing thing.

Frank and Tony's is a good place to hang out. Service was good with a great atmosphere. Bella was a great bartender.

Updated Review: Lemon Diesels all day. Sunday all day happy hour 2 dollar beer and well.

1st time there for the game on Sunday, Great staff especially Angela. Cold beer with pizza slices. Had a great time.

Stopped in for after dinner drinks, service was terrible. Waitress was three days in and told us so, which could be over looked if the bartender and manager were being helpful to her instead of drinking with regulars behind the bar. We won't be back.
