They changed the ice cream and it is the worst quality, icey, and tastes awful! Don't believe me: try it for yourself. I love ice cream more than anything and live two minutes away; and refuse to ever go again. Oh not to mention: so expensive

Soft serve was awful. I could feel a texture in my mouth from it. I miss the old fosters...

Fosters is a great spot for on the way home from a hike at North Chagrin! It is a little spot on kind of hidden along the way. They have lots of different flavors and choices for things to get. Be prepared, though, they only accept cash so you don't want to go with only your card.We got the peanut butter sundae and it was okay. The ice cream was good, but compared to a lot of choices around here was average for us. And the toppings were nice, but nothing super special. If you are out and about, it is a fun place to take the family and offers lots of different flavors which is always a plus!

If you want to help support the local business community AND have a delicious homemade treat, I highly recommend Foster's! Ever since I was a young girl, this has been my #1 spot for a sweet treat! Cash only, so make sure to stop at the atm before you go! Love their butter pecan ice cream!!

Have tried to go here many times but always for got it was cash only. Finally went and were we disappointed. I got butter pecan which is usually a popular flavor but it was freezer burnt and old with that gross scum ice cream gets after being in the freezer way too long. Threw it away. Forget the flavor my husband got but his tasted old as well. Guess my taste buds are different than the 5 start reviewers or the reviews are influenced by nostalgia? Won't go back again.

While visiting our daughter we decided to stop for ice cream and wanted to try a place she hadn't been to before. Foster's sits on a tiny group of shops with plenty of parking available.Due to Co-Vid 19 rules only two groups of two persons or two families (fewer the better) are permitted in their store. The ice cream is made in house and they have other frozen treats as well for purchase. Payment as others have noted is by cash or check only.I was inquiring about the banana ice cream and learned that it is banana flavored. If I wished actual bananas, then i could have that as a frozen treat. Sizes start at kid's size and work their way up. I was told a small serving would be a scoop and and half.My daughter ordered black raspberry, my husband had chocolate peanut butter, and I settled for butter pecan. I quickly paid for the order and then we sat down at one of their outdoor picnic tables to enjoy our treats. I should note that if you wish to purchase bottled water here then that would run you $2.00.I liked the fact that the ice cream was so frozen that it didn't start to melt as quickly as other places I had been to. The butter pecan was good but to me nothing to write home about. My husband enjoyed his chocolate peanut butter. He told me he could taste the actual peanut butter in it.My daughter thought her ice cream seemed too dense for her-She's more a fan of soft serve ice cream but will eat hard ice cream on occasion. She let me sample it and although it tasted good it was a little too sweet for me. The place is very clean and well organized. It was nice just having the opportunity to get out and enjoy ice cream again without having to buy it at your local grocery store in order to enjoy it. As others have noted it is a little pricey but that also takes into consideration that it is homemade on the premises.

We stopped here on a whim while in the area. They have a huge selection of frozen treats, and prices are very reasonable. I was surprised at how low their prices were. Everyone working there was extremely kind and service was very quick.Foster's is a great place to stop for a cone any time. We will surely be back next time we are in the area!

I have become very comfortable with Foster's and have to say that I have never had anything but great visits. The amount you get for the money is well worth the trip as well as anyone on the other side of the counter always makes us feel we are welcomed and valued. All the items we have tried were great tasting from the first to last taste. They will be closing soon for the winter, but I will be looking forward to next year.

It's not the same quality of ice cream as previous owners. I agree with several others who commented about it having ice crystals in it. The French Vanilla was not creamy and every bite was crunchy with ice. Will not be going back as are other friends felt the same about it.

The chocolate peanut butter ice cream is delightful! The portions are HUGE. My only complaint for this place is that it's cash only. We don't go as often as we would if they accepted card. The inconvenience of going to a bank to get cash before getting ice cream often leads us in the direction of local competitors.
