The shrimp were tiny and for the price you didn't get enough. But what really got me was wen I got home and looked at the receipt they charged me for gratuity and tax and it was a takeout order, customers should be made aware that they are charging you gratuity, For what? I wont ever go back there.

I see a lot of the reviews for this, and couldn't disagree more. We have to keep in mind that we are in CLE and are getting GOOD seafood at Flood's.Floods is a very vibrant spot that provides a nice casual atmosphere. Amazing for a date night. Is it an anniversary spot? Probably not. Is the music loud? Yes. Is that a good thing? In my eyes, yes.If you like R&B, good music, and good food, Floods is a no brainer. I did the tacos, which were to die for. If you're expecting Maine lobster or Cali fish tacos, it's not that....but it's THE BEST you will get in CLE.I have seen that people have said things about the service....but patience is a virtue. This place is awesome, so yes, it gets hella busy! Be prepared for that! However, as long as you're respectful to everyone, you're going to get A-1 service. I'm from West 48th and when I roll back to CLE to chill with my African-American friends, this is our undoubted go to, despite the fact that it's an Uber back!All in all, an awesome concept that brings a new dynamic to us in CLE. Floods is very open to all races, so don't let any of the other stuff throw you off. Only gripe I have is that they gotta hit a hot polish boy for the next time I come back!

Decided to try out floods for a quick bite after coming for a birthday party.. the food looked so good so I knew I had to come back! We arrived at 7:30, it wasn't busy at all and we found seats at the bar quickly. The music was a little loud for it to be so early in the evening but I came to eat! We sat down and there are 3 people behind the bar. One male made direct eye contact but didn't come over to us. Eventually I flagged him down and asked for a menu. He handed them over and immediately walked off. We studied the menu for awhile, there are tons of seafood options as well as a ton of grammatical and spelling errors.. "alredo", "alfedo", "lemonaide" just to name a few.. after chuckling at the poorly written menu, I decided on the "scampie" basket and my friend picked the wing platter. Again we asked the gentlemen if we could order, he responded with "you gotta order from her" pointing at the bartender who had yet to acknowledge us and was too preoccupied with her phone to be bothered. We flagged her down and ordered. She quickly told me they were out of "scampie" (eye roll) I quickly decided on the crab cakes and ordered two drinks.. vodka, tonic, lime juice.. she produced two drinks.. vodka and lime with two ice cubes.. no tonic.. at this point there was no point in complaining. I just wanted to eat and leave.. the food took about 15-20 mins, which seemed lengthy for two fried food items. (My friend got the Cajun wings and fries) the fries were delicious and they give you whole wings which is great! However my crab cakes were completely burned on the outside and mushy in the inside. They were dressed up nicely which just disguised the burnt cakes. They came served with yellow rice and a delicious sauce. Great flavor horrible execution. I ate one and gave up. Very disappointed in the lack luster service, maybe if I followed the bartender on Instagram she would've paid more attention to us... Not sure if I'll give them another chance.

Our table ordered the loaded waffle fries with jumbo lump crab meat and the gator bites, crab legs, and a tilapia dinner. Every single person loved their food. Drinks were okay, atmosphere is lively/loud, so be prepared. This is also an urban lounge. I heard someone complain but it's legitimately in the name. If rap isn't your scene, you probably won't like it here. Feels like a family get together. Dress runs the gamut, so wear what you feel like yourself in. Apparently there's live music Sundays after football. ‍ I left because I had to work tomorrow but I'm intrigued. They're newish and there's still a bit of confusion around service as far as if people go to the bar or they come to tables during watch parties. They do hookah here (can't comment, never smoked) but people seemed to enjoy it. Prices are reasonable for food. My critiques would be service and the fact that no one ever answers their phone. I've called four or five times to no avail, but in their defense, they have been packed every time I drove by and every time I've been.

We ordered food from here on the recommendation from one of the barber's at The Cut Above 2.0. After perusing the menu online we finally decided on Lobster Bites, Seafood Alfredo, Shrimp and Grits, and an order of Lemon Pepper Wings in case the hubby got hungry later. I placed the order on the online site and we headed that way. We arrived and there was some confusion regarding our order. It was soon straightened out and we had a seat to wait for our order. The order took 45 mins but the staff kept us constantly updated on its progress and even gave me a shot of Jameson for waiting. Once we got the bags with the containers we headed back to our hotel. Our vehicle smelled like freshly cooked seafood and I couldn't wait to try it. The Lobster Bites disappeared so quickly I didn't get a picture. They were crispy and well seasoned, the Lobster inside was tender and cooked perfectly. The shrimp and grits is the best I have had outside of Louisiana. The shrimp and sausage were cooked perfectly and the sauce was well seasoned and flavorful. Whoever made this dish has their heart and soul in the south. The Seafood Alfredo was packed with mussels, shrimp, and lobster. My husband said that the Alfredo sauce was one of the best he has ever had ( and he orders Alfredo almost everytime it's on a menu)I wish we were here longer cause there was a lot of items on the menu I would have loved to try.

BUYER BEWARE! (June 5,2020)Placed my order on DoorDash approximately (1040pm)20 minutes prior to the restaurant stopped taking delivery orders. The wait was approximately 90 minutes, the restaurant closed at 2/3am. My order was picked up at 1145pm and it wasn't delivered until 1am! The restaurant was only 6 miles from my hotel!!!The delivery driver was someone else and seems as if they were babysitting while doing the food delivery. My food was cold, not fresh, and incomplete. I spent over $100, gave a nice size tip only to be disappointed. I attempted to call the restaurant immediately but they didn't answer the phone. This is subpar and very unprofessional,first and last time I will eat here. I will be calling in the morning for an explanation of this foolishness . I'm totally disgusted

Went into the restaurant to order. Waited over an hour to be told our order was never placed because the kitchen had already closed when we ordered. The cashier later claimed she didn't know. Where's the communication from the staff?! Unacceptable. Will never return. We didn't receive an apology for the inconvenience or a discount off a future order. Customer service is horrible. Don't waste your time or money, they clearly don't care about their customers!

They were homophobic and didn't let us in because of our sexuality. We were old enough and have been here before.

RE: Akron location...What moron doesn't know to peel away the shrimp shells BEFORE you make a sandwich with them!?!?!Fries were greasy and under cooked.Hush puppies were lackluster.Catfish was good.

The food was good the ambiance was amazing the only thing I can say is the waitress needs more customer service and the cooks need to cook where there is not an hour late serving and my sister waited for a catfish dinner that went to someone else the waitress said they can I thaw another piece after a hour late will not be going back unless it's too have a drink
