The server was amazing. He helped us with explaining the menu very thoroughly. He helped guide us through the drink types etc. explained every single item on the cold bar. He also excelled at making sure we were ok.The decor was beautiful. Cherry blossom trees lined the middle of the restaurant Ann while the benches have a beautiful deep colored green. Plus the location is fabulous. My favorites were the salmon, and spicy chicken. We were also loaded up with veggies of all varieties including the lettuce wraps. The star was the fire rice. I had to make myself stop eating it. Delectable. We'll definitely be back!

Was hoping it would be better than the 2.8 stars and was thinking ACE for $30 what a steal right?Services slow but just because not many servers there in general so makes sense, all the beef taste kind of off and the galbi is the only okay item. So sad. I'd say the 2.8 stars makes sense. I'd say more to 2.5. You can eat it but rather spend a bit more and not have meat that tastes a bit off.

Terrible experience from start to finish. Despite the restaurant being empty, nobody attended to us for 15 minutes. We ended up ordering just one item, and even that was a disappointment. The taste was bad, the meat wasn't fresh (clearly frozen), and the BBQ plate was dirty. It's clear they don't prioritize cleanliness or quality. Don't be fooled by the pictures--it's not worth your time or money. We won't be coming back.

Fiyah is a fun experience if you want to grill your own meats, including pork, chicken, salmon, shrimp, and more. There's a cold bar with topping such as garlic and scallions. The music in this restaurant reminds me of a downtown club. I think if I went again, I would try the hot pot.

Louelle our server was phenomenal. My son and I had went for lunch on a Sunday and her was the only one working and have several tables and was very attentive and on point. Food was delicious and my son and I enjoyed our meal. We have been here several times and always walked away with a good experience. Again- a shout out to our server Louelle. He did an amazing job!

Came here for lunch and left satisfied. Upon entering, the large establishment was empty, with only 1 other party of 2, 4 guests in total. There seemed to be 1 employee in the front of the house. He brought us to our table and took our orders promptly. We then went to get our banchan from the self serve station. From there on, it was quite a long waiting game, with the server finally reappearing to with our drinks and dishware, still no food. When we finally received our meats to grill, we were impressed with the meat quality. The pork belly was tasty, however the beef portion was quite small. Reordered 3 orders of beef for the next round which really only comes with 4 small rolls/ slices. Still had to wait quite a while before the next round of orders came out. Overall, it was slow service but food was satisfying, however, I can only imagine how much slower service would be on a busier day w more than 4 guests.

My husband and I went here for the first time last night and we were impressed!! Absolutely recommend.First, I'm really shocked at the other reviews about the customer service because we experienced such awesome service from Jamaal (our waiter) and everyone else who stopped by to check in on us. Every single person we interacted with was friendly and super helpful! Second, the food was honestly soooo delicious. We both opted for the hot pot and picked the Tom Yum broth (wowww so flavorful!!). We went IN on the endless meat, seafood, and veggies. We left so full! Can't wait to come back and try the BBQ option.Third, this place should be more packed than it was. Because like I said above, it was delicious! It's also so beautiful in there! Super modern ambiance, tons of tables, and great bar setup. I would love to see this place packed to the brim because it deserves that.Do yourself a favor and check this place out!

We did the all you can eat hot pot. You pick your noodle, broth, meats, and veggies. There's a self-serve buffet area to add other sauces and toppings. Our bartender did a good job of explaining the concept. It's a really cute hidden gem.

Lackluster experience despite being 3 years in the making. For all the hype and elevated decor, service was very haphazard, design flawed, and food just average. Save your money, time and taste buds and go elsewhere for K-BBQ. The inside looks sleek and modern, but there's poor ventilation throughout and the tables are awkwardly high relative to the seats. Not every grill table appears to be functional yet either. Somehow the bathrooms manage to be in a different climate and were freezing relative to the dining room, and though there were many stalls in the women's, only a few had toilet paper.Despite having a reservation on a week night and only 4 other tables in operation, our party awkwardly waited near the host stand for a good 10 minutes before being acknowledged. Once seated, things continued downhill with no servers coming by for 20 minutes even though we flagged down several people to say we were ready. The menu isn't even extensive enough to warrant that much time to peruse - you either choose AYCE hot pot or BBQ, and then decide from 1 of 2 different set options for BBQ (must be the same for the entire table).Though photos depict banchan, we did not receive any, nor did there appear to be any at other tables that night. Our waitress seemed to be flustered every time she stopped by our table and despite having a handheld ordering system with her, we kept having to remind her to bring something we asked for (lettuce, spicy salad, more meat, etc). Of the classic set - the regular pork belly and beef bulgogi were the favorites, but our frustration and the constant lack of lettuce to wrap the pork belly took the shine out of things. The one bright spot in our experience was Michele (yes, with one "l"), who seems to be the only competent employee. She stepped in about halfway through our meal to assist and suddenly the efficiency at which food was appearing tripled. We even asked for a grill change which occurred in record time. Will not be returning unless they hire 10 more Michele's to man the floor.

Just got put out of Fiyah Restaurant on E 55th because I told another couple that we had to wait an hour and a half to be seated. We were told 45 minutes. I realize it's Valentine's Day. After the rude Asian male told me I had to leave because I told the couple near me, I decided to tell the entire restaurant. That male had just called some else up for the next table but we had been told by the other young polite male we were next. I had gone up to politely ask why we weren't next. I'm sure that made the rude server mad. He was also rude the first time we went there.
