My friends and I get together here about once a month . The bartenders are always nice , the food is your typical bar food , and the drinks are strong . We always have a great time and my friends really like it bc of the attached smoking patio. It's no frills , but it's always been put go to place .

Very slow poor service. The music the extremely loud. Bartender had no clue how to change the channel to the Indians game. Spent most of her time on her phone, smoking or talking with her friends. The bartender is also the cook. When she is cooking no one is serving drinks. Food was very greasy and flavorless. It should not take 20 minutes to get a drink when the only part of the place that was busy was the pool tables. Which are by the entrance doors. Very poor planing very congested there. Hard to get in and out. There is a smell by the bathrooms that needs to addressed and fixed. This place awhile back (6 months ago)was good, with great food and fast service.. Not sure what happened.

They need a web site so you know if they have a band, Motorcycle Poker Run, or just a boring night.Let's get some information out to the customers. Todd needs to work on this .

Lots of potential here, but I'm not sure the owner knows what it takes to run a bar successfully. With the money spent on fixing the place up (it's pretty nice) I can't imagine they're not losing money with the kind of business they are doing. I've been in here quite a few times and I almost think they run the place as a hangout for their friends rather than as a money-making business.Service here is very good, however - the bar staff is very friendly and helpful (the blonde bartender with the cute dimples is a favorite) and the food is very good as well. Prices are affordable, and it's nice that they finally added some draft beer here. The decor isn't that original, but the place is new and clean, which is a big plus. Bar itself is very large, restrooms are spacious and clean, enough parking available - especially for the level of business they are doing now.Now the downside. There are just a few obvious things - pool table should be at the back of the house, rather than right at the front; they should switch it with the performance area - especially with the big windows, people driving by could see if they have a live band or not. Anything would help - they have a nice place here, but they need to get more butts on barstools. Hanging grand opening signs out front isn't going to cut it - I have no idea why they don't bother to insert a simple listing in the Beacon "Enjoy" section when they're having a live band; I don't even think it costs anything to do that. Last Saturday night, they had a great band in there - but hardly any people, because no one knew they were there. They also do some fun trivia nights - with a DJ - but apparently no one knows about that either, since they usually play to a handful of customers.Much of the clientele here followed the owners up from their old bar on Martha Ave. - but that small crowd is LOST in this big place. I doubt that they will pull much neighborhood business from the other nearby bars, so unless they get NEW people to stop in and check the place out... That means spending a few buck on advertising - and I don't mean just having a Facebook site - getting "liked" by a handful of regulars and "talked about" by 5 people isn't cutting it. One other thought: How about a Ladies Night? I don't think another bar in Ellet does that, and Wednesdays are open, believe me.Customer mix here is ok. Some bikers (don't worry, they're harmless), regular folk, a few overweight chicks, a handful of "lookers" now and then, typical guys with shaved heads and "door-knocker" facial hair, people who still smoke pot, old guys with nothing better to do, a handful of neighborhood folks waiting for the place to get better...you get the picture. I'd really like to see this place do well, but unless they raise their game, they're going to end up like The Bourbon Room over on Canton Rd. That place closed so fast, few people even remember that it was open.Addendum - July 2014: Seems like the owners have figured it out and the crowds seem to be of a more consistent number and quality. Definitely worth checking out.

Our family of 5 (4 adults & 1 child) stopped in for dinner last night. Not having been there before, we had no expectations when we went in. There was an immense odor of old, stagnant frying oil that permeated the air when you walk in. Unfortunately, you walk out with that same foul smell on you. When we sat down at one of the two tables (the rest were bar height tables and stools), the bartender provided us with menus and took our drink order. The bartender/waitress was sweet and accommodating. After placing our dinner order, we waited approximately 20 minutes before being told that our potato skin appetizer wasn't available. We were also informed that they were out of the chicken for the chicken philly sandwich. They were out of steak for the philly steak sandwich. So a hamburger was ordered instead. Three of us ordered the fish basket. It was described in the menu as being a 3 piece battered cod basket with your choice of fries (fresh cut or frozen). When the baskets came out, we were given 2 pieces of fish and the fish looked more like what you get from a box at the grocery store. The onion rings ordered in lieu of the fries in one of the fish dinners were supposed to be breaded onion rings (as described in the menu), but arrived as battered onion rings instead. I suppose overall, you can say the meal was a disappointment. The atmosphere wasn't bad, if you can get over the smell. Don't expect to be able to carry on a conversation with anyone at your table without almost screaming because they had the music on too loudly. I could understand if it were 9:00 PM, but not during dinner hours. We can say we tried it, but can't and won't recommend it.

I started going there with my best friend on Friday nights because I enjoy the older crowd and the karaoke. however, every single time I've been in there at the bar maids have been absolutely wasted and very unprofessional. The amount of time we have to wait for service is ridiculous. They definitely need to have more barmaids and SOBER ones to serve that crowd. This past Friday, made me never want to go there ever again. They charged a different amount every time I ordered the same exact drink. I ordered two beers and a vodka with ginger ale and was charged $14 and then I was charged $12 and then I was charged $16 And I finally asked her how much each drink was and she said three dollars. That would've made my bill nine dollars every time. I was complaining and another customer heard me and he said that everybody knows that that particular bar made does that, but everybody knows her and has known her for years, so nobody says anything or complains to the owner . He said she does that all the time and rips people off and pockets the money but people like her so they keep their mouth shut. One of the Fridays I was in there she charged my best friend for somebody else's drinks all night. My friend had a couple of blue moons and they charged her almost $50 because they put somebody else's patron shots on there. my friend has social anxiety so she didn't bother saying anything because she didn't want to deal with it. She just paid it and left. The first time I ever went there instead of carding me she just came up to me and said how old are you and I said really? And I just showed her my ID. This is not good bartending by any means she probably makes a lot of money every night ripping people off that don't pay any attention or that are too scared to say anything, but I know as long as those women are behind that bar, I will not step foot in that place ever again.

Have been there twice to see an out of state band (The Living Deads) that play there occasionally. The bar is pretty clean and I've had great service from the bartenders, both male and female. The regulars that go there seem like really nice people. If it wasn't more than 10 miles from my house, I could see myself hanging out there periodically.
