Fenik's Frozen Custard

I very much enjoyed my visit to Feniks. It is easily accessible and has plenty of parking. They have ample seating inside and a cute patio outside. The indoor dining room was nicely decorated and comfortable. During my visit there was a steady stream of people in and out. Fenik's has an expansive menu including many non dairy options. The non dairy ice cream was light and refreshing. I do wish they had water readily available. I always need water after eating ice cream.There were three staff behind the counter and all were very friendly and helpful. Fenik's is a little out of the way, but very much worth a return trip.

Thanks to a random person I met while grocery shopping who said I must try this place while I'm in town. So, I made the trek to Avon just to try this this 'popular' ice cream of custard. It is further down the road from the main shopping plazas with Walmart, Aldi, etc. It is next to a tennis training area I think in a small plaza. The inside gives a vintage feel with its seating and jukebox. While some took ice cream to go, many enjoyed dining in. They offer a variety frozen dessert including ice cream, custard, sherbet, and other sugary sweets. I was impressed by the variety of vegan options! The multiple flavors of waffle cones were all vegan (flavors like orange creamsicle, salted blue corn, matcha, birthday cake, etc.) The cones are sourced from Brooklyn, NY and really good. Non-dairy frozen desserts include ice cream, sorbet, and italian ice. Tough choice, but I finally went for the Strawberry Hibiscus Italian Ice on a matcha waffle cone. Not overly sweet and just the right bit of tang that balanced well with the cone flavor. The staff is happy to let you try flavors before choosing one. Seems like a nice neighborhood spot that people have come to for years. A bit far from CLE, but if you are traveling west, worth a stop to try a frozen treat. Plenty of indoor seating, restrooms are available, and free parking.

Best ice cream spot for vegans. Love the flavor options. Sometimes they do not seem as dense as other vegan ice creams that I have had but the selection cannot be beat.

Took my then 3-year old and loved it! He's now almost 9 and it's still a hit! It's our favorite local spot when we're in town :-)

Frozen goodness when it's frozen outside is the best because that way you don't have to worry about your frozen goodness melting it just stays frozen with each delectable bite!Coming here has been on the list for a while now and what a yummy treat it was as how can you go wrong with soo many different custard and ice cream choices!Of the many different choices I totally went with the salty caramel custard as it just kinda spoke to me in a salty way so much so that I instantly felt sweet!My custard was just the way it should be full of flavor and thick and creamy it really was very enjoyable the best part of it was the hidden chocolate caramel chunks inside of it just added to something that was already yummy!My friend ordered the chocolate pecan one and she too said that it was yummy and full of that custard goodness just the way it should be!Overall this was a yummy little stop on a cold day in March like how can you go wrong when it comes to custard something that they are doing right here in many different flavors, with that said I'm sure I'll be back here again at some point for one of the specialty flavors as some of them sounded too yummy to wanna pass up!

Best place for ice cream or frozen custard. Fenik's is a popular place in Avon Lake. It has lots of flavors including some non dairy ones. Good choices to get. They have a big menu. Consistently this is ranked high in the area. It's a favorite. They have frozen custard but also other frozen treats as well. Has a non dairy flavor. The last time it was the vegan mint chocolate chip, which is made with almond milk. It's about $3.50 for a cup. This tastes a lot like the real thing. It's very minty. This also is much healthier because it's not as fatty as regular. Of course you can find plenty of fatty things here. They also make shakes and sundaes. It has so much to choose from. Plenty of healthier options here. Try the non dairy flavors for a not as fatty treat.

Great ice cream. I'm only disappointed that I found this place on the last day of the season. I have to wait till March for more of the delicious soft ice cream

Updated review after I've been coming here for a number of years. lolThey now take credit cards, which had bothered me before when they only accepted cash and checks. They also have new outdoor seating with umbrellas and some fresh new flavors of both frozen custard, frozen yogurt, ice cream, and gelato (I think)! Only the custard is made fresh in house though I believe. The new neon signs in the windows are a nice touch too!Service is always fast and friendly! The owner and her son are great people to talk to and they appreciate your business and make you want to come back again and again!Fenik's for life!

This place makes you feel like your in the 1950's with their black and white checkered floor.Also, love Fenik's Limited time only : Blueberry Açaí All Fruit Sorbet Vegan Non-Dairy that are now available. Plus staff is exceptional and friendly!!
