We had an amazing server, Cassi. She could tell my friend and I were having a wonderful time catching up and she told us when we decided on our food items, to close our menus and place them on the edge of the table and that way she wouldn't keep coming by to "bug" us. How thoughtful! During the time we were chatting, she came by several times to top off our coffee cups. And the Eggs Benedict Florentine dishes (spinach, not Canadian bacon) were cooked to perfection! So nice to have a vegetarian option. Charming place to relax and have a meal with a friend. Everyone there is so nice.

Driving through BG on a snowy day, we stopped at this inviting family restaurant with the university's mascot's name. Clean and pleasant, it was like the cozy eateries of years past. Compare it to a Big Boy or an L&K. The hostess told us to sit anywhere. We chose a booth. The waitress was friendly and efficient. The menu had a good selection. We purchased a patty melt, which needed more onions, and it wasn't greasy like they sandwich usually is. It was good. The toasted cheese was perfect with plenty of cheese, and not gooey. The French fries, which came with it, were fabulous! They were crispy, not greasy, and seasoned with spice that was really good. I took some of our meal home. The bill was $17 + tips. Good deal nowadays. The bathroom was nice. The parking lot was large. This place was a good choice for lunch, and I would come back for dinner.

Since becoming a student at BGSU my boyfriend and I decided to make it a goal to visit every local restaurant. This was our first stop on the list of many.I'm a total sucker for diners/family restaurants with a simplistic hearty menu. Considering today was such a rainy and crappy day I was totally ready for some comfort food. Upon first glance you can tell this place is a place for older people and regulars. We were the only people under 30, I'm sure. But hey, diners aren't usually trendy and overflowing with young adults so it really wasn't anything different than expected. I stuck to a crispy chicken sandwich and my boyfriend got a burger. Everything came out really hot and the French fries crispy. No complaints on the food or service. My only complaint was that I was kinda cold. Granted it isn't freezing outside yet... in the 50s. But I'm pretty sure they don't have their heat on yet. I'd come back. Maybe next time for breakfast.

We spent nearly one hour for two of us to have an omelette and skillet with mediocre food. If you have plenty of time for breakfast and want to visit you will be fine. If you prefer a quick breakfast that isn't fast food I should have know better... Three stars because they were pleasant.

Pretty quiet; a place for regulars. Breakfast menu is pretty standard, but big. I did appreciate that the food wasn't too greasy as some breakfast places bring your food swimming in grease. My daughter enjoyed her Mickey Mouse chocolate pancake. Decoration makes me feel like I'm at my Grandparents' house in the eighties.

Extensive menu with many choices. Had a decent open faced hot Turkey Sandwich. I forgot to ask for gravy on the side so I scraped off what I could. Gravy was a little on the salty side but had a good flavor. The Reuben was also pretty good. Mashed potatoes were advertised as home made and were pretty good. Will have to come back and try more of the menu.

We are from out of town and a friend recommended this resturant. We couldn't be any more pleased with the service, menu selection, quality of the food, size of the portions, value for the money. We are considering the 55 mile drive just to eat there again. If we could give 6 stars, we would!

We stopped in here a few months ago for breakfast and have been back several times since. Wonderful breakfast - the Greek omelette is fantastic! The place is very clean, service is fast and always friendly. Definitely one of our BG breakfast favorites.
