Stopped by 2/4/25.My wife worked here 60 years ago when it was a (hot) Dog House!We revisited on the 60 year anniversary of meeting at the Dog House in Northfield, which closed up a long time ago. She had worked at both the Northfield and Brecksville store.Today, we had croissants, coffee, and juice--all of which were very good. The most memorable part of our visit, though, was the friendliness of the barista, who is a young lady studying environmental science at Cuyahoga Community College. Another noticeable feature was the cleanliness of the restaurant and restroom. The store looks brand new, not over 60 years old. We will be back!

walked into brecksville location. no one says hello. they ignored me for 10 minutes and never took my order. they have some kids working it who don't have a clue. last time i go there and give it a try.

I considered not stopping based on the mixed reviews, but glad we did! Located conveniently just outside of the brecksville reservation and complete with a drive thru. Seating inside and out. We ordered a maple latte from the seasonal menu and a cold brew. Both were great and prepared quickly.

I was in need of a pick me up before work and did not have much time. I ran through the drive thru at Erie Island in Rocky River to get an Oat milk latte. The service was quick and the latte was good. The inside seemed to be nicely decorated and the staff was friendly. The drive thru is not your typical drive thru. It is located in a strip mall. I do appreciate they offer a drive thru. Most local coffee shops don't have drive thru and I would prefer to support local businesses. Erie Island was a good choice for a quick stop.

Awful first time experience and will not go back. The employees clearly lack concern for dietary restrictions. I am on a vegan diet and was delighted when I found this place online since it has a vegan breakfast option AND a vegan bakery item on the menu. I ordered a 16oz cold brew with oat milk and a shot of vanilla, a vegan breakfast sandwich, and a vegan oatmeal cookie. The person taking my order asked if I wanted bacon, sausage, or turkey on the sandwich. I was surprised by that question and made a comment about not being used to having those options with vegan food items. I chose bacon and while she was entering the order in the register I saw a sign on the counter for the vegan breakfast sandwich and listed Beyond sausage. So I asked if the bacon was vegan and she said no (glad I asked) and then told her I wanted the vegan option again. Maybe she didn't hear me the first time when I specifically said the vegan breakfast sandwich, I'm not sure, but I should have known then that this wasn't going to end well. Paid $20 including a $4 tip and then waited for my order. I received the cookie first and was told where to pickup the coffee. Not a bad wait, maybe 5 minutes while they called out several coffee orders ahead of mine. They called out my sandwich and there was an iced coffee sitting there with no sticker or label with a description so I asked if that was the iced cold brew with oat milk and vanilla and was told no. A few minutes later I'm still waiting for my coffee to be called out and the guy asked the person that took my order if that was an iced cold brew and she said yeah. No one ever called it out for some reason. So, I got my drink after all the unnecessary waiting and confusion and it tasted like water. No vanilla and honestly I'm not even sure they used oat milk. After all of this I was too nervous to even eat the breakfast sandwich. I have zero confidence in their employees concern for dietary restrictions.

Pros: The coffee and the food was delicious. They have seasonal offerings that change from time to time.I did like the bathroom sign.The ambiance was nice except for the many people waiting for their food and drinks. Cons: The service is super slow. We were charged for a bagel and not given it. I asked the workers if they got it and they said no. It wasn't until I went back to the clerk and asked to speak to the manager that we got what we needed. The manager refunded my plain bagel and we got it for free. While I was waiting for the bagel to come out, a guy standing there was told there was no more chive cream cheese.All in all, we never got our bagel because we chose to go someplace else since they ran out of the chive cream cheese.The manager came out with two bagels instead of one right before we left. Also, the line was out the door.Overall score: F

This was a wonderful quick stop for a morning coffee and sandwich!! They have a lot of coffee choices and come up with pretty creative flavors and names for seasons/holidays/events! You can even customize them with the different syrups they offer! On the other hand, they don't have too many breakfast/food options! They have one breakfast sandwich you can choose the meat on and some lunch options! My friend got the breakfast sandwich with sausage on an everything bagel and said it was super filling & delicious... she even got two slices of sausage which is always a plus (: ! I got the Caprese sandwich (no tomato) and it was delicious... i LOVE pesto and cheese and boy... they did not disappoint!!! I definitely recommended trying both options! We shared the parfait which was.... SO GOOD!! and probably healthier than the sandwiches we got... but balance is always a good thing... right? i sure think so! I also got an Iced latte! I asked for lavender syrup... which they were out of... no big deal though they offered me other syrup choices and decided to try the Violet syrup since they said it would taste similar!.... It was an okay flavor.... but it was very different from a lavender latte so if they are out of lavender again I would probably try something different!All in all this was a very cute place and the workers were wonderful and very helpful!! I will be going back!!

This is a great coffee shop to check out and try. For my chai lovers, the chai is amazing but very subtle! The cold brew is great as well. Not to mention, the pastries are excellent. My only issue is the service. I understand that people are busy but they seemed a little hostile and rude. Not only that, it was oddly smoky inside.. very unpleasant

Meh, I've experienced better. Wanted to "dine local" while in town and decided to hit up Erie Island for a mid day pick me up. Upon walking in, they had a menu board with seasonal offerings-- sweet! I saw they had a maple latte on IG A a few weeks prior and inquired if they could make it. Was told no problem. After a few minutes, we heard the girl barista tell the cashier that they didn't have maple... they then proceeded to go back and forth about who was going to tell me and ask what I wanted instead. All as I awkwardly stood there. The guy finally asked what else I wanted, but then took another customer in line. Do I tell him? Do I tell the girl barista who is already in a bad mood? The drink I opted for was okay... not what I wanted. The espresso had a burnt aftertaste. My hubby's Cortado was also not proportional. Too much milk. One of those cases where I should have stuck to Starbucks instead of trying to support local business.

Took a while to get our order and coffee was just ok. Parking is very limited and it's hard to get in and out of at times as the drive thru wraps around the building.
