English Oak Room

We were married here! The English oak room is stunning. From its marble floors to its carved rich oak walls, people still say it's the most gorgeous wedding they've ever been to. Back when we were married executive caterers by Landerhaven did the food for us. I'm not sure if that's still their one only caterer, but it was then, and the food was outstanding. We had a cocktail hour in the adjoining foyer and a gaming coffee bar! 25 years of marriage and no regrets having our ceremony and reception all in one place. I believe we had 135 guests with round tables set up as well as an 8 piece band with a dance floor and were very comfortable.

I came here for a wedding, and it is such a nice venue in downtown Cleveland. The wooden details add such a nice touch. It seems old and classy. They had two rooms, one smaller area in the front for appetizers and drinks, and the dining room further in, that easily fit 18-20 tables. This is my first Western style wedding that was served family style, and I liked it! I thought the chicken was too dry, and could really have used much more gravy, but the beef was good, and I loved the horseradish sauce that went with it. The service was excellent, and the bar tenders delightful. They also knew what the names of the drinks you may ask for were.... I've been to some places west of Philly where they didn't know what a Cuba Libre was made with. I appreciate knowledgeable bartenders. Also, the bathroom is nice, and they equipped the women's rooms with pads, tampons, and q-tips. That was a nice touch.
