I love supporting small businesses and having a boba store in the west side! Fun fact, one large is $6.50 but you can get two for $10 so that's a good deal!I really enjoyed the oolong and earl grey boba teas. They had great tea flavor and were not terribly sweet (similar to 50% sweetest you can choose at a store in Asia town). Some people may not like that but it does make the drink healthier.Love the options and the owner fits the store vibe.

Teeny-tiny little spot unexpectedly located in an otherwise Irish-focused shopping plaza, serving up tasty, flavorful, high-quality Boba tea. friendly employees, interesting, and intentional decor, just a couple of seats. Ask for their recommendations if you're not sure what to get. I've been a couple times now, and truth be told, I'm not even sure what I've gotten, because I usually just ask for a suggestion and go with it. But everything has been good!

I found a great newer Bubble Tea place in Rocky River( opened Oct 2023). Unique and dedicated to Emo Culture. My wife got a strawberry milk tea and an Earl Gray tea for later. I got a pineapple juice with peach bubbles. All very good. Great value and great service. I think we have to wear black lipstick next time.

Was very excited to try their boba tea while we visited Cleveland. Ordered three bubble teas. No one was in the shop and it took over 10 minutes to get the teas (could possibly be because they brew the tea from scratch upon order?). One of the orders had the wrong boba in it and the tea was incredibly sweet (pineapple). The strawberry fruit with popping boba was good (ordered two of them). Hard rock / slasher music vibe (which I thought was cool BUT I would be cautious bringing kids in. Lots of swearing in the music playing when we came in). No bathroom! Person serving us was very kind. Not sure I would try again (I prefer less sweet bubble teas) but also wouldn't advise anyone against trying.

They had a booth at the Asian Festival and my BF only ordered here because it had the shortest line but lo and behold he waited for more than THIRTY minutes checking in at 15 min intervals only to be told they haven't even started on his order...what the...how can you not even handle this capacity if you decide to show up to a wholeass FESTIVAL? He said it looked the least aesthetically pleasing out of all the other boba booths and it was staffed with 4 girls, none of whom were even remotely Asian. Their teas looked super basic and the least appetizing compared to the other authentic stalls. The flavor list looks too sweet and artificial and not any I would ever order. But seriously, do not take 40+ minutes to make ONE tea. Are you picking the tea leaves, straining them, drying them and steeping them for each customer? Yeesh!

I'm from Michigan and have been looking for a boba tea to get while I travel to Ohio for work. While driving today I saw the sign out front and decided to stop.Tried the Brown Sugar milk tea with tapioca boba and the mango fruit tea with mango popping. I would really recommend the brown sugar milk tea with tapioca. The tapioca boba came warm like they were fresh (I'm assuming they are). Both drinks weren't overly sweet. The service was great as well. I'm assuming it was the owner. He was patient with the couple ahead of me who didn't know what they wanted immediately. The shop is also environmentally friendly as everyone gets a reusable cup & lid. They still use plastic straws tho. It's a great effort to reduce single use plastics that most boba shops typically do! Great job Emo Friend!Lastly the inside is decorated as you'd expect by your Emo Friend. It has CD sleeves on the walls, Record sleeves, Posters, motorcycle jackets, and more. There's also a Marshall speaker playing some tunes. I'd go back and I recommend the Brown Sugar Milk tea with tapioca boba as my favorite so far. 5/5. Thanks

Giving 1 star reviews to small independent businesses is beyond petty. I wish I could report that comment. Who gives a flying hell what nationality the staff was at a heritage festival? This place is a gem. If you don't like it you probably don't have a very great taste in music either. The teas are spot on and the dude that runs the place is just the nicest fellow around. Bonus points for always fantastic jams going on when I visit. I love all the music related things displayed around. This is far from some corporate franchise. Try it yourself and if you have to wait a minute, I promise you it'll be worth the wait. Keep it up Emo Friend. We are lucky to have ya in the neighborhood!

If you like bubble tea, you must visit this hole in the wall. Whatever you're doing it can wait. Go get boba! I never thought milk tea and punk rock would pair so well.

So wonderful to have a boba spot near me! The restaurant is located in a plaza and there is plenty of parking. The restaurant itself is small, and decorated with all the emo things and music. Best for small groups or take out. The service was great. The boba itself was really good. I got the traditional Thai tea. The tapioca pearls were smaller than I'm used to, but def not a bad thing.
