Emerald Necklace Inn and Tearoom

A beautiful high tea ceremony for a completely unreasonably low price. It's a smallish menu but you will be full, and the teas were all tasty - and the tea room strides that line between "lovely" and "kitschy," an overstuffed British parlor with lots of art of royalty and fine China. Only reason this is four stars instead of five is how difficult it is to get in touch with them to get a reservation - their email doesn't work, leaving a message on their phone doesn't always get you a response, and they're always busy enough that you can never just drop in. If you're willing to have some stick-to-itiveness to get a spot, though, prepare yourself for three hours of luxurious fun.

Delicious and relaxing high tea! They catered to my gluten and dairy allergies with absolutely no compromises to variety and taste! Will be back.

We came here for my birthday celebration and it was everything. The building itself was so quaint and cramped but the room itself was meticulously decorated with all things tea. High tea came with only 3 tea sandwiches as the main course but did include a small salad. Flavors of the sandwiches = cucumber cream cheese, chicken salad, egg salad. I would sub the cucumber cream cheese one for a chicken curry on croissant or just add a 4th savory option. I was sad they didn't serve clotted cream nor preserves, which is my favorite part of an English tea. They offered Devonshire cream and lemon curd instead. I wanted to like it but the Devonshire cream was simply just sweetened cream cheese. Womp womp. The whole separate dessert tray was the highlight! I got 1 macaron, 1 chocolate covered grape, 1 heart shaped brownie with chocolate buttercream on top, 1 mini corn muffin-like thing. Yum! My BF got a whole fruit caramel cappuccino parfait as his dessert! Our server was nice and attentive and we had a leisurely afternoon tea. What a treat!

Friendly, no rush atmosphere and service. Several menu options to choose from. Very nice selection of teas. Look forward to trying their B&B inn.

An adorable little tea room to have Afternoon Tea! There were so many flavors of tea, it was hard to choose. Every item in our afternoon tea was delicious and beautifully plated. We wi definitely be back again!

I've now had the pleasure of staying at this enchanting inn 3 times. The woman who runs the establishment is so incredibly pleasant and accomadating. She was willing to check us in at whatever time worked for us even if it was fairly late and was very friendly once we arrived. The Honeymoon Suite has a large, attractive tub in the bed room. The furnishings are all antique and tasteful. There were various dishes decorating the mantle and walls with happy anniversary messages. It's a magical little room; it feels out of time and space. Breakfast is included in a night's stay. You're able to set the time yourself. They automatically provide fruit and a scone with a choice of coffee or any tea. Then you are able to order whatever you might feel like for breakfast. Omlette, pancakes, oatmeal, bacon, eggs, etc. Everything tasted great. The same can be said of their afternoon tea service which I had enjoyed thoroughly during my first two stays.

I love a good high tea and this was up there as one of my favorites. The biggest issue I had was that the service was sooooooo slow. We got there at 11:45 and were the only table. The next table also of 2 didn't arrive until 12:30pm so quite crazy how long everything took. I like that the tea was served in courses. They had many nice touches. First the place is so cute. The decor is very thoughtful and cute.We were given a sample tea mock tail and it was a good starter. Our tea then came out and was placed on a candle to stay warm. We were also consistently asked if we wanted a refill on water.I had a salad to start, small but a good size. Then came bread - pumpkin and banana and a blueberry scone. The bread was a bit dry. The scone was good, but the clotted cream wasn't so that was disappointing. Next tea sandwiches were good - cucumber, egg salad and chicken salad. And the finally dessert - 3 of them all of which were tasty.

Ok so this place was really easy to work with my flight kept getting delayed so I got in late but because the rooms weren't booked they let me change my dates. The breakfast was good and it's just really nice.

Had a wonderful time catching up with an old friend over a spectacular display of treats in lovely surroundings. The person who waited on us was informative and fun.

Loved my visit here. Cute little sandwiches and sweet desserts to go with my tea. Great tea selection!
