Wow! Blown away by how good the food and margaritas were. It's an unassuming strip mall, but clearly location has nothing to do with the quality of service and food. Our party of 4 was seated right away and service was friendly and prompt. We kept commenting on how good the chips and salsa were. That was until we had the street corn appetizer. OMG it was amazing. Crack on a chip. We demolished the hearty plate of corn between the four of us...we may have had to ask the waitstaff for additional chips four times just so we could keep eating it.Everyone seemed to enjoy their entree. I had the shrimp tacos and they were perfect. Fresh and tasty.If you're looking for a good Tex-Mex place out in the western part of town, definitely check out El Patron!

Their chicken chimichangas are very good (beef was way overseasoned and wouldnt recommend imo). Also their chicken burrito with mushrooms was very good (i cant remember but it had a name like burrito acapolco or something like that sorry i forgot will try to update when im in next time). Fajitas were nothing impressive but my bar is high after living in american SW. Lunchtime specials make it a worthwhile venture for value if ur in the area. Not so much a destination location.

Believe it or not, but my favorite thing about El Patrón is the beans. If you have not had them, you are missing out. Other than that, the margaritas are amazing! My favorite meal (before I went pescetarian) was pollo con crema (a creamy chicken meal) and the menu is expansive enough to find something you like, even if you are a picky eater. The service is also really good here! They are always really nice and attentive. They also do a good job making exceptions to drinks and/or meals. For example, I ordered a frozen raspberry margarita but wanted a spicy hint, so I asked if they would be able to rim it with tajín and they not only said yes, but they thought it was a great idea! Aside from the great food and friendly service, the decor is so festive and relaxing. My mom and I came here one day after I had had a particularly stressful day, and the decor was enough to help me feel like was far away, on a vacation and ready to shed the day.

For a place so close to my house I'm so mad I do not come here more often. Had a fun daughter mom night and got margs split the chorizo queso and then each got our own meal. Got the quesadilla Fajita style and it was delicious and just as good heated up in the oven the next day. Inside the restaurant it's a fun atmosphere and even super kid friendly. They do give chips and salsa for free as well

I was recommended to stop here by a friend of mine. It was lunch time so my mom and I decided to order off the lunch menu. We were shocked at how large of portions the lunch fajita was. We did ask for some to go containers since it was so much food. The tortilla chips for fresh and the salsa was so authentic. The ambiance was so beautiful with the great traditional music at one point my mom was dancing in her seat. I couldn't recommend this place enough, the best around for sure.

We were feeling for some Mexican food this past Saturday night. We called our usual place and they had a ridiculous wait. Since we were in no mood to wait, I took to the Yelp and started looking. I came across this gem and called. To my surprise, they wasn't a wait! We hoped in the car and away we went! When we got there, the parking lot was pretty full and we got a little worried that there was now a wait (took us about 20 minutes to get there). When we walked it, we saw perfectly socially distanced tables. Again, surprise, no wait even though from what we saw were full tables. Our super nice restaurant staff took us to out table. My husband ordered a Margarita because I mean the best ones are generally at Mexican restaurants. He said that was just as good as he makes at home! He was in Heaven. We ordered some queso to start. For meals, I had the Fajita Taco salad (something about that shell for me) and he had the Texas Quesadilla. Both were amazing. Full of flavor. Our staff member (I'm not a fan of them being waitress or waiters), made sure my Sprite had my requested 2 lemons. She was a total Rockstar for that. At the end, we got the check and was pleasantly surprised at the cost. Not bad at all! If you're ever in the mood for some good Mexican and live far West like us (we don't consider this the West side) or you happen to be over here, do yourself a favor and check them out!

The changes in ownership and food offerings have brought this place back! Good menu offerings with flavor profiles that are fresh and delicious. The changes in the physical facility has a clean and bright atmosphere with touches of beautiful color to add to a nice dining experience. The staff and manager are very customer oriented. Ask for something that is not on the menu and they will try to get it made for you. Nice to have this re-do of a good place.
