When you're craving burritos, fajitas, or tacos would recommend coming to El Palenque! Their menu might be a bit daunting but they also have combo options to try a few things. You can't go wrong with any of the fajitas and I loved the spicy burrito with steak. Obsessed with their rice, I could eat a whole bowl of that. Prices are great for the amount of food you get. While you can probably finish your meal, would suggest bringing your own container to take home leftovers since they use Styrofoam to go containers. They have daily specials in case you wanted more of a deal and you can pay a little less by paying in cash (avoid credit card fees). Parking is a little tough during peak hours so give yourself some time to loop around. The place could accommodate larger parties and they usually have someone's birthday to celebrate while you're there. Both times I've gone, service has been attentive and food came out quickly. They pop that bowl of chips and salsa there right as you sit down.

Parking on the front, side and back of their lot. Front entrance only. It's a good size restaurant. Their hot salsa and their house salsa mixed are good together. The hot salsa is Smokey, but on its own it's not as good as mixed for me. Ordered the grilled chicken taco, one shredded chicken taco and lobster chimichanga, fried, no cheese on top and side of beans instead of rice, no cheese. Would have been better for my husband with corn tacos instead, no one asked or gave him the option. Husband kept it normal to keep it simple. Their chips are good, look like they are made from half size corn shells? Crunchy and fresh and at times warm. The guacamole isn't bad, the table side must be even better. The staff are hard working and hustling for our tables. The grilled chicken tacos were okay. The lobster chimichanga were different, not a ton of lobster meat inside, but enough and a unique dish. The spinach is a nice addition.

I ordered the chimichanga dinner last night. Rice and beans were salty, Rice stale. Meat was very dry. This is the 2nd bad experience. Saturday was not the night to order out. Also no napkins or plastic ware. Not a high five from me. I work hard for money and my $16 was not well spent there.

Exceptional roasted tomato complimentary salsa with chips. If tequila is your thing you have a full page in the menu of choices!! On the back of the servers t-shirts it says (and I quote) Drunk off my ass!! It's a person who has fallen off of a donkey. Humorous. Server came to our table and said IT'S TEQUILA TIME. I had the Mexican Street TACOS with Chicken. Seasoned to perfection. Corn tortillas doubled up so it kept taco in tact. It was topped with a slice of fresh avocado. There was a side a beans along with some super hot sauce some onions and cilantro. This is now our 6th stop on the Lake County Taco Trail. Enjoying every step of the way.

This place.... I have been coming to this place with my family since it opened , I swear we go every week . It's reasonable and the portions are ample . The bar is huge and greets you when you walk In the door along with the awesome staff. Let's talk about the staff..... I have never met a more warm, friendly group of human beings in my life , they are so pleasant and I'm sorry to say , you will fall in love with them as they are very warm and caring. Look out for their specials menu! Taco Monday : .99 cent chicken or beef tacos . And 2.99 regular margaritas! They have specials every day but this one is my fave. They also have a PARTY ROOM!!!!!!! My favorite local spot for Mexican food - my husband and I probably visit once a month. Their homemade salsa is also a great way to start the meal, and I'm so happy the offer this. We've tried so many different items on their menu and have never been disappointed. I love their rice (I also order extra) and the cheese they use in the quesadillas. My husband's obsessed with the smothered burritos. Don't forget to add a margarita!! The staff is always polite and helpful, and we've never had to wait long for a table - even when they're busy. Everyone is so friendly and the food is always quick, hot, and fresh. The restaurant itself is pretty large with booths, tables, and bar seating. It's also decorated so well and very family friendly.

Was packed with a short wait to be seated. Upon getting our booth, chips and salsa were delivered within a few seconds. Then less than 30 seconds later our waiter took our drinks order. They were delivered quickly, and we were asked if we were ready to order. Not yet. He returned a couple minutes later. We ordered. Good came out in approx 10 minutes. Hot fresh and delicious. Drink refilled were on time. Outstanding service. Awesome food. Very impressive operation. Amazing!

the food was great, as always but I have had friends go there for their birthdays and they sing and do tequila shot. that was one of the reasons we picked this restaurant. out. daughter loves their food and always wanted to do the tequila shot. so whe. we got there, we told the waiter, the entire restaurant knew it was her birthday as her father yelled it out to everyone. even the balloon man came over and made her a birthday hat and a wand. needless to say we were very diss when the waiter brought us the check and said have great night and walked away. no singing nothing. it was a very big disappointment to us.
