This is our new local favorite Mexican stop for the family. I always get the grilled chicken quesadilla, a side of queso to share with the family and I love the house salsa and chips that come free with the meal. My daughter and wife love the steak tacos and nachos. Service is usually pretty good but we've had some slow ones but never rude. The ambiance is your typical Mexican restaurant with a cool Skeleton light up head that my daughter loves to see each time.

Good food. I always try to have something different. The chicken fajita quesadilla was really good. The service was slow and it took a long time to get our order correct. Then we were seated without silverware. We sat on the patio which has a nice vibe and it was still very nice despite the time it took to get food. Overall I will come back, but the service needs improvement.

My first time visiting El Jalapeños and I was excited to see if there was a Mexican restaurant closer than the one I usually visit. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The service started off great with my server making suggestions and being attentive, but once my food was served, she disappeared and I never saw her again. I mentioned it when U paid the bill and was told she took a break. I have no problem with that, but it would have been nice to know, especially since no one replaced her and I was left to figure out how to pay in my own. I had mentioned to her that it was my first time there, so making sure I knew how to pay (at the table or in front) was important. The food was okay, but nothing out of the ordinary. If I go back, it will be a while.

We have patronized EJs for a long time, but it may be awhile before we go back. Things started well, with our server taking our order promptly and getting our food. The food was also good. However, getting our server back proved nearly impossible. We had to chase him down to get the check and leftover boxes, and he had our card and hadn't returned for 10-15 minutes until my wife chased him down.It didn't help that we witnessed a server reach into the ice cooler WITH HIS BARE HANDS. Flies continued to pester us through the meal. As we left, we discovered why - the door to the kitchen was wedged wide open.

The boyfriend and I can't ever decide on food except when it comes to this place. If one of us suggests it we are in immediate agreement. They are so quick and the food is well made. I've never had an issue with quality and the service is usually great. They have the bar inside if you just wanna get a couple drinks, they have outside seating if you want to enjoy the beautiful summer weather and they have dining for small groups or parties. I think the only inconvenience is depending on where you sit if there is a speaker directly above you it can sometimes be a bit loud. But the remedy to that is just speak louder so nothing to complain to much about. This place is pretty great!

The service was really good our waitress was kind and understanding but the food was terrible my little brother and sister got burnt chicken nuggets I wanted the seafood nachos and overall my food was good but the chips were burnt and there was only 2 pieces of shrimp in that overall it's okay but not going here again

Been going there for years.Horrible service and I wanted a small meal so I ordered off the kids menu and was told that I would be charged for an adult meal.Tried reaching out to them several times and no response. I called and spoke to a " manager ". He was absolutely no help and didn't seem to care.Not sure I will go back

So I had to call the police on El Jalepenos today basically because they refused to call them on me. I have been going there for many years and I always talked so highly about them. I have always loved their service, food and it's only a block from my home. After today I will NEVER step foot in their establishment and encourage others to do the same. Today two of the employees embarrassed the shit out of me while slandering my name. Also I have a cleaning business and one of my clients happened to be there eating......Today before work I called and ordered six tacos to go as my husband and boys were eating ribs for dinner. I walk in to pick up my six tacos and the girl asks for my name and proceeds to the back. I assume that she is going to get my tacos but then comes from the kitchen. She asked me if I was there last week and I giggled and replied "yes of course weekly and my husband and I get our usual". She then slams a receipt on the counter and pushes it towards me and yells "you guys dined and dashed" ! I thought it was a joke but she stood there with an attitude and was being very rude. I told her there must be a mistake because I would never do that and she was just looking at me. I demanded that she called the police and even showed her my bank statement on my phone where I paid $20. Our waiter likes to drink a lot while waiting on us but that's not my business as long as I get my food. So I requested a manager and the police to be called and both were denied. I ended up calling the police myslef and showing them my bank statement and they were unable to get any information from the workers.I have been ordering the same food there for years which is a sampler azteca, large cheese, and a sprite which is usually around $18. The "unpaid check" that she presented to me was $20 so I knew something was off. Needless to say that the girl gave me the wrong check and I actually not only paid somebody else's check but I overpaid.WHY WOULD I DINE AND DASH AT AN ESTABLISHMENT THAT MY FAMILY AND I HAVE EATEN AT WEEKLY FOR 10+YEARS.
