El Amigo Mexican Grill

Food was very good and enjoyable, I ordered the tacos and I also go the chips and queso, very fresh a an nice to enjoy I would recommend that, I feel like the atmosphere was little off and the staff could've been better but there is always going to be anomaly's in everyone's service

No bueno.Flunked the ships and salsa test. Their refried beans did even worse, somehow they tasted medicinal.Place was dark, and depressing, and I am referring to the food. The decor was drab and lethargic. Service was meh.Avoid. There have to be better Mexican options in Erie.

Recently on a trip to Erie, Pa we went to El Amigo for dinner. It was delicious! Generous portions. Freshly made. Of course we started with chips and salsa. Friendly staff. Clean.

Service wasn't that good and food was meh. All their margaritas are frozen unless you get the top shelf one. Just so basic.

Decent prices for what you get. Most food we've tried has been good. Only complaint from me is the rice. Just not my cup of tea I guess. We've also ordered delivery through one of the delivery services and the food was still delicious and packed well. I loved their enchiladas with verde sauce.

My date and I were drunk and hungry at home so we decided to order delivery. I forgot what delivery service we used but I was sad that there was no options to get hot sauce on the side.So when we got our food, they provided hot sauce anyways AND a side of grilled onions which was amazing!I got the 3 street taco a la carte with beef which was good!Also got the Amigo's Quesadillas with steak and that was bomb. I would recommend this place and I am definitely going to be ordering from here in the future.

I had the Enchiladas Mexicanas and it was pretty damn good. The beef-filled enchiladas were my favorite (VS the chicken and the cheese) and the waitress told me I could have all six enchiladas as beef the next time I come in, which I will definitely do. The price was fair and there was a lot of good food to eat. The atmosphere was loud and busy as the place was jammin'. Oh, and the free chips were decent. That along with the meal had me feeling pretty stuffed!Service was good. I'll definitely be back.

Great sized restaurant in a good part of town. The staff is always quick and very kind. The food is hit or miss. It's not the best Mexican food, but it does the job for Erie. Drinks are also hit or miss. I don't recommend the horchata, but again for Erie it's probably the best you can get. If you're craving Mexican food, this might hit the spot depending on what you order. Highly recommend the street tacos and chicken tortilla soup but don't get the enchiladas

Came here for a work dinner and had a great time! The food was absolutely delicious, nice big portions for a good price. We were a large party, but our waitress still did great with getting us all our food and drinks and checking up on us! The inside of the restaurant is much bigger than it looks from the outside, as well! Not pictured - but the margaritas are also amazing. I prefer mine on the rocks, and the mango margarita was my favorite of the night.

Dined with friends last night and had a delightful dinner! Ample portions, delish, fresh, warm chips and salsa; generous and equally delish sides of El Amigo's signature rice, pico de gallo, and refried beans with a huge dollop of sour cream. Our entrees were steamy hot, flavorful and plentiful enough for a snack today. El Amigo is one of our faves on the Erie Fine Dining card. We didn't have room for the fried ice cream but the table across from us relished theirs. One of my hubby and mine's favorite treat!
