DS Cakes & Sweet Cafe

We purchased a cake a long time ago when she first opened her business (as in 10 years +) and it was incredible. I ordered one for a birthday recently and we served it within a few hours. Everyone agreed it was very crumbly and dry. Icing was amazing, but we were all a little disappointed :(

I thought I had my favorite sandwich picked out, but, then I discovered DS Cakes. Today I drove 35 miles to get their chicken cheddar sandwich three days after I tried it the first time - served on a grainy ciabatta, with fresh, roasted chicken, cheddar cheese, a delicious slaw, and a side of balsamic vinaigrette. I also grabbed a turkey reuban for a friend who said it was delicious. The Polish cheesecake and zucchini nut bread were so yummy. They have a dozen bars I would've loved to have tried. The place is cozy and homey. The service is quick and friendly. I wish they had a location closer to Cleveland Heights.

Haven't been to this place in a couple of years. Well... Same parking lot just a bigger store. Place looks great, way more room to sit and read the paper. I ordered an Americano and bagel w/Cream Cheese. I thought the toasted bagel with Cream Cheese was a bit expensive at $5, and it was not even close to my favorite. However the Americano was fantastic. I can't complain there. There was also a birthday party that I wanted to bring some cupcakes to. SO I picked up a 6 pack with some Brownie bars. I mean these things were fantastic. Place has some delicious cupcakes, and the brownie bars (tons of flavors) are also really good.Overall this place was pretty good. Service was excellent. I'll be back.

NEW STORE FRONT and it is sooo spacious! It's been a while since I came here and I was so happy to hear that they have a new location. Within the same parking lot as their old location, their new spot is basically two units. Parties (ie bridal showers, baby showers, baptisms) or smaller events/meetings can be held in their party room. Their menu has been updated with a few new items, now displayed on large TV screens. Your favorite local small business items are still available and line the walls of the main room. Check out their new spot and grab some delicious, made-from-scratch foods!

My oh my!! This place is adorable. We stopped by here for lunch and some yummy chocolate cupcakes. They are like the hostess cupcakes but 10x better! I also had the Cafe Italian Panini: it comes with salami, pepperoni, ham, smoke provolone and banana peppers on an Italian bread. I didn't get a picture of the panini since I was starving, but im sharing a picture of their delicious homemade cupcakes. If you're in the Newbury Township area, visit this cute little spot.

The polish cheesecake and strawberry muffins are great. The staff is awesome too. The new location looks great.

They have all your sweet tooth favors. People are top notch to have service from. Place is bigger that the previous one and more cozier to.

Love the little store with all the things in it lunches are good. All the pastries are good services great and everything about it great.

Love this place! Staff is extremely friendly, love all there food and coffees (I'm not big on sweets but I'm sure there amazing too) the new spot is adorable. Highly recommend!

Since relocating, the prices have become very high. $3-$5 for a plain bagel. They're very nice, but that's the highest price I've come across thus far.
