I don't know if it's always been on the menu, but I see a a drink that is basically a fancily named New York Sour and I'm here for it. The Canadian lager is also fantastic. I'm just updating all of you that they're still amazing. (Don't hate my updates, I'm trying to keep my elite status)

My wife and I dined here for the third time in three years. Overall, this is a great restaurant. The location and setting in the restaurant is very quaint and interesting with us, exposed brick, and wooden pillars. Our server was very attentive and did a great job with our table.My biggest gripe is the slow service coming from the kitchen. We were told the escargot would be a longer wait due to the cooking process, but it came out over an hour after we sat down. I feel this is extensive and by the time we got the appetizer, my patience had boiled over, and I didn't enjoy the food as much as I would like. The escargot, however, is exceptional and certainly a different touch with the puff pastry.I ordered the rack of lamb and was hoping for something different than my usual steak. It was good, but had a little more fat than my liking and for the price it was not worth it. The grilled gnocchi with the meal was just OK but not the type of gnocchi I like you would get at an authentic Italian restaurant. My wife had the chicken fried lobster meal and it was fantastic. It was actually better than the lamb by a long shot.This is a great restaurant, but I do agree with other reviews that it is over priced. I have also experienced slow kitchen service three times now and you just need to be patient if you want to enjoy your experience. We were in and out in two hours and we skipped dessert as we had to get back.

Wow. My wife and I went here for our 5 year anniversary and both agreed this was the best dinner out we've ever had. We were looking for a place we could try multiple small plates that were unique, intricate, and delicious and Downtown 140 exceeded all of our expectations. From duck with fig jam, to lamb chops with gnocchi, to lobster Mac and cheese, the food was both picturesque and still filling and so tasty. The service was excellent and there wasn't a single item that came out that we weren't happy with. This will be our new go to spot for special occasions. Thank you for making our night!

Our " go to" for THE best dining experience in the tri-county area.From Andy and Bridget making you feel like family to Sara's personal attention, this is a must for anyone looking for a guaranteed great foodie experience. Chef Clinton House and his team brought their A-game as usual. For a best in the area experience you must dine at Downtown 140. Each dish was topped by the next. Do yourself a favor and reserve a table soon. One should not be in a hurry and treat this like the typical restaurant who's primarily interested in turning tables; rather this is a dining experience to be savored. You will thank me :) As far as those complaining about price; my only comment is you get what you pay for and we always leave here satisfied and spoiled.

Just dined for the first time at Uptown 140. Everything is BEAUTIFUL, quaint, charming, special but... it was an extremely disappointing experience. We ordered onion soup, a salad, the chicken entree and the short rib entree. Everything was delicious EXCEPT the short ribs were SO fatty and spongy I absolutely couldn't eat them. The sauce was delicious and I was trying to find some meat that wasn't coated in slimy fat, but there just wasn't any. $48 entree and all could eat was the polenta it was sitting on. The worst part was, after the server said he'd take it off the bill, it was still on there. When I asked about that, I was informed that the owner said not to take it off. Not only was my meal inedible, but I was made to feel like I was trying to stiff them on my bill. I had to leave as I was on the verge of tears. The highlight was the large party at another table laughing loudly and yelling obscenities. I just don't expect to hear someone yelling "No f*cking way!" Over and over in a fine dining establishment.

Have an exceptionally good night with some friends. We had the pork chop, scallops, off of the seasonal menu, the spare rib and filet mignon off of the standard menu and the deviled eggs off of the seasonal menu. Service was exceptional with Liz. Nice accommodations down in the basement of a very old but well renovated building. All in all a very good experience.

Food, Service, and Ambiance are all OK.Big problem is their "POLICY": You are forbidden to order an appetizer separately. You MUST order both the appetizer and the entree together or else they won't bring you your food!

Please note that DOWNTOWN 140 is lovely. This review is for Uptown 140. I ordered their version of a French 75 and it was unrecognizable. No prosecco/champagne whatsoever and completely watered down. The bartender who took our order was completely dismissive and condescending. We left to go to Farmer's Rail before finishing our drinks and had the best cocktails I've had in a long time. Do not waste your time here.
