The food at Don Patron is delicious, yes. But the service here is AMAZING! You will not have consistent service like this at most restaurants. After moving to Ohio from California, we really missed Mexican cuisine and once we found Don Patron, we've never gone elsewhere. Our loyalty as customers has everything to do with the way the team at Don Patron treats their customers like family. It's an affordable, family friendly place to enjoy some great food and a margarita if you'd like. They always have great music on and beautiful artwork on the walls. The culture here is as authentic as it gets.

Having grown up in Texas, I tend to be very critical of Mexican restaurants in the north. But time & time again, we always come back to Don Patron as our local favorite. They have great food, great service, and VERY cool ambience. For the dining area, they had the brilliant concept of making their interior look like a Mayan temple, and that was what grabbed our attention when we first visited. They have realistic 3D "stone" walls with authentic "carvings", which are impressive. But what is amazing are the Amazon jungle murals. Some people with true talent created this, & for that alone I'd recommend checking it out. But if the food wasn't great, too, we wouldn't have bothered to return. Since it IS so good, THAT's why we always tell people it's the best Mexican place in Portage county.

Excellent food, excellent prices, clean. The place sits at the west side of Walmart. I think the location is bad for them because it sits over there by itself so find it and go! They appreciate everyone's business and Sergio is always there with a nice smile.Pro tip: the guacamole is so fresh and delicious! Also try one of their fantastic lunch specials mon-fri. They're awesome!

We have been coming here about once a month for about two years. We always have a great meal, and friendly service. they also provide a great military discount if you ask for it. I usually don't as the prices are already quite good, and the portions sizes are excellent.
