Divey bar, not sure what else to say. I think I was only on one side or maybe it is one of a basement split into two bars? Anyways we played beer pong at a Ukraine fundraiser and there was a lot of room to stand around and drink. Large middle bar, restrooms close, simple build but all you need to drink and socialize. Bartenders were so efficient and so friendly despite how busy it was.

Awesome. What a fitting name. This place reminds me of a modern 'Cheers' on the divy side. Down the stairs, through the doors, pass a few tables and boom, at the bar, and boom! Norm!!!!Love it.

This place is located down stairs below another bar on the corner. City ordinances make street parking pretty non existent. So it is best to park in a paid lot or take a cab/ride share. It is not a very big place and can get very packed. It is definitely a spot for the younger crowd. The bar tenders are working hard, but was packed while I was there and it was sometimes a bit of a wait to get a drink. The DJ that was playing that night was awesome. There was not much dancing going on though. If you do go, I recommend getting there early, as the crowd starts to arrive around 11.

This review is based on my experience during Cleveland Beer Week 2015.Dive Bar is a dive bar. I kind of expecting the worse and was pleasantly surprise. It was clean and spacious. Maybe it was an event that need tickets to be pre purchased, everything was just so organized.$20 for 4 pints and a snack. The selection was quite impressive with 30+ beers to choose from. There are 2 bar areas and we ended up hanging out at the back bar with an awesome bartender. Great service and always checked on us frequently. The patrons and the staff were all so friendly to us. This might be a different crowd compares to the normal DJ nights, but we really have a good time drinking all our beers here!

We came here on a weekend night. It was super crowded, and it was almost impossible to even get to the bar, let alone be helped to get a drink. They DJ was actually pretty good, I thought, but it was weird that no one else was really dancing! The bathrooms were small and at least 2 of the 4 stalls in the women's restroom did not lock. I definitely need to be in the mood for dive bar. It would have been much more fun if people were dancing. But, as it was, it was just really really crowded and I was getting pushed around a lot as people tried to get by. A plus was that there were a couple of police officers outside that let us pet their horses!!

I'd probably like this place more if I was younger, but I'm not. The name Dive Bar made me expect a different type of bar, maybe a little less crowded. It's certainly a popular place, and I can see why younger kids like it. There's a lot going on in there and it's a great place to drink with friends. But I found it a bit too crowded for my liking. I was jostled and had trouble getting drinks.

Overwhelmingly positive first experience at Dive Bar this past weekend! Great place to sling back cheap, tasty drink with truly exceptional service; late night turns into a great dance venue with a live DJ. One of the few downtown bars/clubs that still offer personalized service that makes you genuinely feel appreciated as a customer. Shout out to the owner Justin who took personal care of our group providing us with an awesome night!Great people, great prices, exceptional service, personal, not commercial - 100% no doubt recommendation.

I recently held my wedding reception at Dive Bar.Yep, you read that right.Rewind to 9 months ago, when we decided to stop into Dive for a quick drink on a Friday night. We hadn't been there in awhile, so we were delighted to see that they had expanded the bar to at least double the size of what it was. Then we saw the sign 'Interested in hosting a party or fundraiser here? Contact us'. Dive has always provided us with the best nights out, whether it was to celebrate Cleveland sports or we were just looking to have a few drinks and dance our faces off. My (then) fiance and I looked at each other and we knew this was where we were going to have the best celebration of our lives. And it was!The manager at Dive Bar was super accommodating and helpful through the process. They did not scoff at our idea to have a reception at Dive Bar, rather they embraced the idea and helped to make it exactly what we wanted. Because there weren't any big sports games or events going on that night, we were also able to keep our event private and Dive Bar provided the security we needed to keep it that way (we around 200 guests!). They also provided an open bar, DJ, and (absolutely delicious) catering. I can't tell you how many people said this was the best idea for a wedding and they had an incredible time.Even if you aren't planning to have a big party or event at Dive Bar, it's still THE place to go to have a great time in the CLE. Many of my weekend memories revolve around Dive Bar, from dominating the skee ball machines to dancing on platforms to partying till close. So now that you know, stop reading this review and get your ass to Dive!!!

This Bar is located downstairs and kind of next to The Ivy. The Dive Bar was the only place on the "4th Annual Harry Potter Bar Crawl" that was decorated in a theme. This place is very small inside and we couldn't find a seat at the bar or at any tables:( The music was way too loud and it needed a lot more lighting. We didn't stay for a beer or cocktail or food. We felt a little out of place since we are 57 years old. We might go back to this place in the future.
