While traveling through the Amish area we stumbled onto this little town and discovered a restaurant on the Main Street. Gift shop in the front and a huge seating area in the back. We were the only customers and the staff very attentive. We were served quickly and food delicious. We were eating at an unusual time. Happy for our selections. Soup hot and sandwiches perfect. We found out while checking out that the restaurant can seat 300. Wow, great place....

Was driving through Shreve on our way to Wooster & saw this Amish restaurant. We hadn't had supper so we decided to stop. We found a seat quickly & menus were brought to us. The server took our drink order while we perused the menu. The sweet tea was so refreshing. Hubby ordered #19 North Atlantic Broiled Cod with mashed potatoes & green beans. I ordered the Amish Sampler Plate ($18.99)...turkey & roast beef with sides of mashed potatoes & homemade dressing which also came with the soup & salad wagon. Hubby cleaned his plate which means he loved it. I really liked everything I got. The homemade dressing was dry & made with croutons so that was a little disappointing. Other than that, my food was delicious. My only regret was that we were too full to order dessert. The dessert menu looked GOOD. Our server provided us with very good service. We will definitely return here.

This place gets four stars for being open on Sunday! Otherwise it would be a high three stars.Firstly, this is Amish country so finding anything open on a Sunday in this area is finding something in a baron land. The salad bar cart is definitely a must, the ingredients are garden fresh. The macaroni salad is really good and sweet. There were four soups and all were homemade and delicious.I tried Swiss steak that is only made on Tuesdays and Sundays with Mashed Potatoes. These items were just okay, nothing over the top exciting that I would just die to come back for.My hubby had the broasted chicken, it was nice and moist and light. He had the sauerkraut which he wouldn't get again and barely touched.For the finishing I had the banana cream pie and it was interesting. Delicious and sweet, I only needed a few bites it can definitely be shared at the table it's huge.They have a little store on your way out with some little handcrafted items. Some fabric and small quilts.

Excellent food, I eat there quite often. You must try the date pudding! I love the salad bar.

Amish restaurant near Wooster, Ohio! They have a great salad bar! And the entrees are huge! Definitely go hungry! Look online for the daily specials. They also have a small gift shop with handmade goods.

Good service and Good good some of the buffet wasn't fresh but we can at a off hour. The server was great and the overall experience will bring us back.

In Shreve, this restaurant is quaint and unusual. Upon entering you feel you may be in an Amish farm house except one room empties into another and another.The menu is extensive. My husband had the ground sirloin sandwich. Not easily pleased he pronounced it absolutely delicious.My daughter and I had the BLT with onion rings. We tried not to lick our fingers. Very pleasant waitress. We sat with our iced tea and visited with one another without being rushed. Well worth the drive to Shreve.

Walking in here was like stepping back in time . I wanted the Buffett , but sadly I was too early . It didn't start until 4pm. My husband had a cheeseburger and onion rings. He was very pleased. I had a three piece fried chicken , mashed potatoes and green beans. I was impressed by the fresh wheat bread that was brought to the table , but not as impressed by the fried chicken. It was dry and not tender and the oil tasted old. The breading was greasy and not at all crispy. I would eat here again, but try something else .

Excellent Service and Food! Home cooked food with very pleasant waitress! Reasonably priced! Husband had roast beef, mashed potatoes and gravy & corn. I had turkey club and onion rings. Food was so good! My husband loved their sweet tea! Also bought homemade loaves of bread to take home!
