Dear Mama's Pizza

I love pizza. We decided to grab some food while in the area of Strongsville. This pizza place came recommended. This is not a sit down type of restaurant. It's pick up only. The people behind the counter very nice. We ordered 2 different types of pizza a chicken wings. To our dismay, the wings were boneless. They were rubbery and over cooked. The pizza, unfortunately, none of us were able to eat. The kids would not even try it. The sausage on the pizza was too big for any of us to bite into and enjoy. The pepperoni was actually very large salami slices cut in half.. the other pizza made with yellow cheddar was not to our liking either.

First off, 4.5 star score, however you can't select that option. After a traditional Thanksgiving meal the day before, we decided on pizza on a visit to mom's villia at Vitalia on Royalton Rd. in Strongsville. After a look at reviews decided on Dear Mama's Pizza in Strongsville (usual go-to is Ohio pie, but wanted to change it up).Ordered on-line. No ordering/pick up problems. Zach's seasonal special (pepperoni with hot honey), a 10 cut with sausage, mushrooms and roasted red pepper and 10 boneless wings with the six pepper ranch (and a side of ranch dressing).All were very good. This place needs to be in your repertoire of pizza places if you live in the Strongsville area (located on Pearl Rd, just shortly south of Royalton). Style is Detroit (rectangular, thicker bread like crust with sides deeply pan charred) and comes in 6 cut or 10 cut.The seasonal special was very good, however we got no taste of hot honey at all. The boneless wings excellent and their ranch sauce to dip in is amazing. We'd recommend they bottle the sauce and have it in the cooler for purchase, it's that good. I believe the menu designates homemade. We didn't get much out of the six pepper ranch sauce on the wings. The pizza with sausage, mushrooms and roasted red pepper was excellent - chunks of sausage and large strips of roasted red pepper. Note: the pizza sauce is on the sweet side of the spectrum. It's excellent, but keep that in mind if that is not your cup of tea.Overall, highly recommend giving it a try. It's located in the far corner of a L-shaped shopping center. Pro-tip: get the ranch dressing ... with everything! Very good Detroit style pizza!

Need to solve Rubik's cube, to see if they are open. Worst hours ever. Drove over because their website said they are open. Saturday afternoon at 1:00 and nobody there

This place is such a hidden gem. Tucked away in an unassuming shopping plaza you will find the best Detroit style pizza this side of the Mississippi. Get the How You Doin'? and thank me later

Pizza is always delicious and fresh! The jalapeño cheese bread is Devine! Service is always timely

So thankful for a unique and good pizza place in Strongsville! There are so many classic chains in this city, and Dear Mama Pizza is a breath of fresh air. My husband and I got take out here and got a lot of pizza for a very reasonable price! The number one most delicious thing I would recommend to everyone is the Howe You Doing? I cannot wait to add this to our rotation of pizza take out in Strongsville! This is the kind of place you call your mom about and tell her to try it too.

I can sincerely say I haven't had vegan deep dish pizza this good in my life. Such a pleasant surprise here on work trip in Ohio. The crust and tomato sauce were amazing (also had one pie with their vegan white sauce which was also on point). Cooked to perfection, crispy edges - light airy dough. Cheese was amazing and the vegan toppings (pepperoni and sausage) were perfect. I'm sure their real cheese and non-vegan pizzas are just as good and the prices can't be beat. That's not to mention how sweet the lady who served me was (I'm assuming she was the owner). If you're a fan of deep dish you have to check this place out - especially if you eat a plant-based diet. I'm hoping to come back this way soon and have at it again.

Always a family-like feel when you walk in the door. Food is absolutely unbelievable and always has me craving more throughout the week. Always great service, and the atmosphere makes you feel at home.

Great pizza, service and wait time!! Dough was thick yet light, loved the sauce and sausage.

Update :it was so good the last few times but tonight pizza was burnt. Not as good as it was before
