I love the wide variety of products that they have. The Dave in this area has great prices and great employees. For a small area the store is pretty spacious. There's a lot of people who go there though. There's also ppl hanging outside of the store trying to sell stuff lol .

With a name like Dave's, I have to give them 5 stars. This place has a lot of deliciousness. I found some delicious food here. I bought it, brought it home, and ate it. It's a vicious cycle.

I had never been to Dave's so I walked around to check it out. A lot of groceries are in this building. There seemed to be a bit of everything. Lots of produce and meats. Some prepared meals. The bakery has all the desserts you'd want. Beer and wine area, too. I was amazed at all of the large containers, like the restaurant size can of green beans and the two liter bottle of BBQ sauce. The prices were moderate. Some chains in Cleveland have higher prices, some chains have lower. If a Dave's was near me, I'd shop there. I'll stop again at a Dave's when I'm out and about town.

Convenient but a little worn around the edges. Lots of variety but the quality isn't what I hoped for. We prefer Heinen's.

I shop here often, and it's a nice mid-scale grocery store. The food is fresh, and they carry a few special items like candies and gums I've never seen before.Prices are very good esp when they have sales. They also serve hot foods.Get me thru the line quickly, and the cashiers are all very nice. Great 60s and 70s music plays as I shop.Parking can iffy depending on time of day, but I can usually get a pretty close spot in the back of the building (where it's free)

I really want to give Dave's a chance, since I live a block away, but it is a lower-end grocery that doesn't have the freshest or widest selection of meats or a wide variety of produce. The service is hit or miss, with either friendly cashiers or ones that literally throw food into the bag (I complained to the manager and made the cashier get new items for the ones she destroyed). For most of my needs, especially fresh meat or quality bakery items, I make the simple drive or take the train to Fresh Market or Whole Foods. If I'm lazy or need the basics, I walk to Dave's.And please have longer hours - something past 9 pm would be great.

Absolutely appalled at the quality of produce and the treatment of customers at this store. Limp wilted squashes, rotten spinach, old broccoli... Many of the managers at the Shaker Square store and the Severance store would just as soon walk through you as look at you. When asking for help most managers will not even break stride or stop what they are doing. As I mentioned earlier at the Shaker Square store there is consistently old wilted produce. Earlier this week at this store the management started turning off the lights 45 minutes before closing. At the checkout I was forced into one of two open lines, neither of which was an express line. I had 4 items and many folks had express line amount items. I counted around 30 folks in line, many with full carts. It wouldn't have seemed so bad but after enduring the other insults this seemed a very big thing. I hailed a manager who did stop and give me his attention. I asked him for contact information, perhaps an email or business card, because I had suggestions (for better service) and he told me there was no avenue for this but I could tell him or contact the corporate office, and I shall. My experience has been that it is very easy to forget verbal communications while doing this kind of work. I would really like to see change. I just moved and this store is so convenient I can walk there if I choose unlike Whole Foods at Cedar and Warrensville where I frequently shop. I also use Constantino's at UCI on Euclid having just moved from University Circle. Some of the employees show the same disdain for customers though my sense is that most do not, which is a testament to most of the employees. When I said something about the lines and the lights while in line I was met by a chorus of agreement, aggravation and other stories of experiences like the one I had earlier this week. Your thoughts? One thing is for sure, I will be taking more advantage of the Farmers' Market on Saturdays at Shaker Square.

The facility could use some renovation; it is dimly lit and dirty. However, they sell most of the basic necessities so it is a convenient place to stop. The prices are generally very cheap but most of the food there is processed and pre-packaged. The produce is very cheap but sometimes you have to do some searching to find fresh items-I found some perfectly good onions, squash, and mushrooms for very cheap. They also have a decent selection of wines for a discount store but I'm iffy about how good a $6 wine is. Based on the logistics of the location, I wouldn't stop by after dark: you either have to park in a secluded back lot or park in front and walk through a dark tunnel to get to the back of the store. I shop at Dave's for paper goods and boxed/canned goods but I choose higher-quality stores for meat, fruit, and veggies.
